List of Assil Saleh's Reviews
Assil Saleh has been my primary care doctor for 10 years, and my insurance doesn't cover my visits to her but I still go because she is amazing and the best! Spends lots of time with patients, thorough, great diagnostician, and did i tell you she found my daughters breast cancer?! I have complete and utter trust in her...that's a great feeling in this day and age. If she's taking new patients, go see her...you cannot do better!
Great doctor, very professional
Foxhall Internists has taken care of my family for 20 years. I have a painful (head throwing) and itchy scalp condition , and wanted to make an appointment to obtain prognosis - thinking it is severe psoriasis. When I called the office, I was asked if it were an emergency , I replied no. Then I provided what information I could and asked for an on -call Dr to call back for an appointment. A woman by the name of Dr Saleh called and I was appalled by her abruptness in that she couldn't wait to get rid of me on the phone, accusing me of calling an emergency when I specifically said to the operator that it is not an emergency. If it were I call 911. Dr Saleh was rude, disrespectful, and said that Foxhall Internists does not handle these kind of problems. I asked whether I called the correct Office and she became belligerent. My family has only known helpful physicians at Foxhall, and Dr. Saleh is not of the caliber of the respected Doctors at Foxhall Internists, and clearly has no intention of being helpful nor is she a team member.
Dr. Saleh really helped me with early age rheumatoid arthritis. I’m now in remission! She takes the time to listen to your concerns and also looks at your whole health picture such as diet, exercise, stress, etc. I have recommended her to my friends and they are very satisfied in their care too.
Warm, thoughtful, and very thorough doctor. Great with complex cases like mine. Friendly office staff.
Superb!!! cannot thank her enough for saving my life!!!
Dr. Saleh is very well trained (internship and residency at Johns Hopkins), double board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and a holder of a Master's in Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins. More importantly, she is a caring, knowledgable, and talented physician. She is a good listener and a great physician. She has been caring for me, especially my autoimmune disease, for the past five years.
Dr. Saleh has been my primary internist and rheumatologist for the past five years. I do not ordinarily refer to online rating sites because I find the reviews posted to reflect the reviewer more than the reviewed physician. But in this case, I feel compelled to share my experience with this wonderful doctor. First of all, Dr. Saleh is extremely knowledgeable and very well trained. She is an excellent diagnostician and a thorough and meticulous internist and rheumatologist. She is never rushed or overwhelmed, but rather, is thoughtful, focused, and takes the time to listen, get the full picture, collect all the data, follow through, and communicate her findings and plans. Her blend of intelligence, diligence, and patience with compassion, humility, and an ever-present cheerfulness makes her a treasured healer. I feel very blessed to have found this one-of-a-kind doctor and have referred several of my close family and friends to her as well. To a person, each has thanked me and expressed very similar opinions about her.
I saw her for a condition that was very serious, and she mistakenly blew it off and told me I didn't need to see a specialist when in fact I should have seen one right away. When she finally did refer me to a specialist, she referred me to someone who had practically no experience in my condition - which is a common condition. I had to do my own research to find a specialist.
I was referred to Dr. Saleh because she is an expert in arthritis and vasculitis, and I have both. I am so thankful that she is now my physician, both ...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
