My child was in a car accident and had to be taken by ambulance to the emergency room. We have been here for 7 hrs waiting on them to do a few x-rays. This place is poorly run and managed.

The waiting times are horrible. As other bad reviews said yeah, you are going to be waiting anywhere from 1-6hrs. One time I was literally only coming to get my son the flu vaccine. Nothing else nothing more. Just get the flu shot and go home.We were waiting after being put in the patient room, for 3hrs. It was a nightmare. I was so disappointed because...hello!! ppl have lives and things to do. But my regular visits for my new baby have been an hour and a half. Today we had appt at 2:50pm left out 4:30pm so bout an hour and a half. Emergency room hours man when my son was a baby I remember being in the hospital for hours like 5+hrs. This was years ago before covid. So yeah you're always going to be disappointed with the waiting time. Other than that staff are friendly, polite, apologetic so they understand the wait is crazy. Idk I think it's just severely understaffed. You can't make more ppl become doctors. That's something most ppl can't afford and don't have the patience or even the real mindset to do so we kind of just gotta roll with the punches. I try to keep a patient attitude cus if I don't I'd be very aggressive and irritable. And that doesn't speed anything up or make the situation any less negative. So go in with a positive attitude and deep amount of patience.

My son was in a car accident and we've been waiting here for almost hrs for the hospital staff to do a few sonograms and x-rays.  There is no legitimate reason why it should take this long when the waiting room is empty.  Arrived at about 7 pm and it's now 2:30 am and they still haven't concluded what they have to do.  Poorly run hospital.

We we're here several days and had the WORSE experience EVER. The nurses are good. The doctors vary. But the entire rest of the hospital staff is rude, uncaring, and should not be around children. I don't have anything good to say about any of the support staff, especially the sitters that have treated us terribly and harassed us in our own room. Charge nurses don't care or do anything to help. Workers enter the room with out knocking or speaking. One tech drawing labs at 330 am walked in, turned all the lights, raised my kids bed, poked her repeated saying "give me your arm" without an introduction or warning. Our stay has been consistently TERRIBLE.  We will never return here for an appointment or another stay EVER. The only good thing:  nurses were very good but overworked and unable to connect with families. We would only see our nurse 2-3 brief times during an entire 12 hour shift because they were kept so incredibly busy. I hate this hospital. customer service and bedside manners mean nothing here and it starts with reception at the front door so I'm sure it's trickled down from the top. Workers stand around complaining about their jobs, coworkers, bosses. It's highly inappropriate and blatantly obvious that the whole hospital needs an overhaul. I can't say enough negative things about our experience.

Ugh, I just left this stupid place.My son had a hematology appointment. His Dr. is awesome. Its seems like they have a first point of contact issue. Anyone who has to check someone in always has an 'I hate work and my life' attitude. The lady Candice on the second floor is so gosh darn rude. As the 1st point of contact, she must of felt obligated to treat children and adults like popsicle sh*t sticks. Her behavior was totally unacceptable. She is the representation of childrens. They must train in treating people like boo boo.  I filed a complaint with the lead nurse and told her to run the cameras back and it will show Candice interactions with everyone. Candice needs grammer classes, an english class, a reading class, a new job picking up trash or working in a jail facility doing commissary passing out tampons or something.Do better

Hi, my name is Kaelyn Dickens. I am someone who has dealt with Children's Hospital's Inpatient Psychiatry Program head-on. Why do I say this? Because on March 5, 2021, I tried taking my own life. It was a tough time for everyone in my family who had to deal with this. Thanks to the doctors at my local Holy Cross, they saved my life. But this isn't about Holy Cross, but it's about Children's Hospital.So I stayed about one and a half weeks in their hospital bed, which was nice. Until I was informed I had to go to the inpatient, and that's when all hell showed. I cried and cried. But eventually, I went. May I say I have been to a couple of inpatients, but this was one of the worst of them.People may say: "yeah, Children's hospital is Fantastic. The doctors helped my kid with this or that illness. "But the thing is, people never talk about the rest of the hospital. When we walked there, we went all the way to the back alleys of the children's hospital. It got less and less lively the more you walked.Skipping over to the part where I had to stay at the inpatient, I got there around 1 pm, so no one was awake. But it was some basic stuff a physical check-up, mental check-up, why you're here, they gave me a small hospital gown, blah, blah, blah. But on to the next day, I had to wear the hospital gown until my mom brought me some clothes. I had to wear it for 24 hours. I wore that for two days.But into more detail about the room. It was a tinyyyy space. There was a little window, a makeshift desk area, the cheapest bed I've ever seen. The bed was some wood planks put together and a cardboard-like mattress, and then you had this tiny blanket and very uncomfortable pillow. On to the bathroom was a small space, all there was, was a sink, a soap machine that didn't work, and a toilet facing an open shower, plus all of the bathrooms had the same floors, there were two drains, the shower area, was one of those showers where you push the button. It stays on for a certain amount of time, and on top of that. The shower took a while to get warm. Then when it did get warm, it was warm enough to burn your skin off!But, the schedule was half the time in your room like you would have therapy groups, "school" and "fun time" eat in your room, then stay in your room for another 2 hours, then watch a movie, snack, then go back to your room at 8 pm.So if you are going to take your child to a mental facility, I do not recommend a Children's hospital from the patient's perspective.
