List of Darcy Hansen's Reviews
Dr. Hansen has been my PCP for over a decade. Every visit she spends ample time with me and I never feel rushed. I feel she thinks about my health holistically, asking about what is happening in my life overall. I am really happy to have her as my PCP.
Always a great experience. The staff is professional and friendly. Happy to have Dr. Hansen as my doctor.
Dr. Hansen has been my internist for years, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is brilliant, very competent, compassionate, and genuinely holistic in her approach to her patients. She is always up to date on the most recent literature about a variety of medical conditions. I have noted marked improvements in appointment scheduling and responsiveness of her staff over the last year or so. I highly recommend Dr. Hansen.
Insurance billing malpractice — Dr Darcy Hansen has been my primary care doctor since I moved to DC in 2011. Her practice slowly but surely deteriorated over the last few years and I kept reminding myself to find a new primary care doctor but I keep procrastinating this (my own fault!!). Her admin/office support staff renews every so many months which has resulted in many rounds of lost insurance information, lost lab results, I have even showed up to appointments that were “canceled” when I arrive, to now this last time they were apparently trying to get a hold of me on a phone number which I haven’t had since 2012. Last incident is her doing Tele appointments but not treating these as “real” appointments but for sure billing my insurance as a regular office visit. My last tele appointment was necessary to receive a prescription refill (a refill I still to this day have not received almost 3 months later even though I have called the office numerous times and tried to explain. They informed me I need to come in in-person (and be billed again of course), I show up but my appointment was apparently canceled (I was not notified) So 3 months later still not remedied, I had to go cold turkey off of a medication that is listed as very dangerous to stop taking without weaning off of properly. She as a doctor should know what risk this imposes. Unethical, unprofessional and zero accountability towards a patient she has had for over a decade.
Dr. Hansen has been my primary doctor for three years already. She is amazing! I like her very much. This year, my husband, despite his fear of doctors, came to see her and fell in love. Dr. Hansen is a true professional. She doesn’t pretend listening but is genuinely interested in hearing your complaints and ready to answer all the questions. Dr. Hansen creates a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere during a visit, being comprehensive and competent at the same time. I am delighted that I have met Dr. Hansen and have recommended her to all my friends.
Always attentive and never rushes through appointment. Knowledgeable about recent medical issues. A caring doctor.
My rating depends on your age. Dr. Hansen is a fine physician; I like her a lot. I do not have criticisms of her medical advice, timeliness, or response rate. But if you are working (and of SS age), have private insurance & not using your Medicare, all is fine, but once you stop working for the entity that you retired from that pays your insurance, now Medicare jumps into 1st place & private ins. becomes 2nd, she charges an outrageous amount annually for a so-called concierge fee. You don't get any warning, you are just declared a "new" patient & are tossed to a collection agency that is located on the beach in Santa Barbara, CA. Thus, while Medicare requires your private insurance to be 2nd place, you pay the same amount for less coverage, Medicare doubles the paperwork and adds higher costs to Medicare, and the Santa Barbara concierge service charges another $1,400 a year. Beware! or you will land as a "new" patient for the doc & find yourself with apx triple medical costs.
THE BEST DOCTOR BY FAR, SHE TAKES THE TIME TO HEAR ALL YOUR CONCERNS ALSO ADRESSES THEM. WILL SCHEDULE EMERGENCY VISIT IF NEEDED. BUTT TAKE COVIS 19 SERIOUS SHE WILL GO OUTSIDE TO TEST FOR VIRUS AND HAS ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE. LAB WORK , PRESCRIPTIONS, POST OPP INSTRUCTIONS AND U WONT HAVE TO CALL TO RECIEVE RESULTS , THE PHELOBIMIST IS AWESOME SHE MAKES U FEEL COMFORTABLE AND RELAX TALKS TO U TO MAKE REPOR MORE FIMILIAR HEAVEN SENT. WILL ASSIST IN EVERY WAY IN OFFICE SO PLEASANT YOU FORGET SHE HAS TO GIVE THE INJECTION. TOTALLY SATISFIED PATIENT WITH ALL SERVICES , DR.HANSON EVEN BILLING SHE MAKES AFFORDABLE ARRANGEMENTS GOTTA TRY HER OUT EVERYONE.
Dr. Darcy is absolutely amazing! She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are provided with care that specifically correlates to each individual's need! 10/10 would recommend!
I went for my checkup and never even met Dr. Hansen. I was only seen by a nurse.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
