Absolutely would recommend Dr Lutton for any shoulder procedure. Had my rotator cuff done with him after an injury and he did an amazing job and was always very open and available for any questions or concerns. Did so well that I sent my mom to him for her shoulder replacement and he was phenomenal with that as well. She and I are in much better physical condition because of Dr Lutton.

Dr. Lutton performed shoulder surgery on my wife and subsequently on me. We both fared extraordinarily well. Dr. Lutton is an exceptional surgeon with extensive experience. We are grateful that we were in his care.

I had my shoulder replaced last year and got infected and the surgeon i had sent me to see Dr Lutton and he is one of the best doctors i have ever come across he has answered all my questions and we are working on getting my shoulder back in everything he has done has been perfect dec of 23 i had my shoulder put back in by dr lutton and everything has gone perfect he has to be the best dr i have ever been to

I was referred to Dr. Lutton from another provider because I wanted a second opinion on the original recommendation for PRP and verify my issue wasn't surgical before embarking on expensive non-surgical treatment. I was able to get an appointment very quickly, and I was very impressed with the doctor when I saw him. First off, he has a great personality and "bedside manner" - something you don't usually see with surgeons. Second, I liked how we walked through my MRI results together and he explained it in a way that was clear to a non-medical professional but not condescending either, and that he looked at the MRI before looking at the report from the MRI lab examiner to form his own opinion. Third, I liked how he explained that the nature of my injury didn't require surgery, how in general he wants surgery to be the last resort for anyone, and expressed respect for the work of the other provider who focuses on a different method of orthopedic medicine. These are all signs of someone trustworthy who gives quality, personalized care and won't try to convince you that you need a costly and painful procedure that you don't need. He also invited me to reach out by email if I had any further questions come up. A true class act all around. I hope I never need shoulder surgery but if I do, I'll be coming back here.

I spent most of my 30s in absolutely excruciating shoulder pain. When my ortho, Dr. Rajeev Padarindath, realized I had a rare condition and referred me to Dr. Lutton. In two minutes Dr. Lutton diagnosed me accurately, and identified a treatment plan. He confirmed the diagnosis with prompt imaging along with his quick, spot-on diagnosis. I needed to have part of my deformed shoulder blade removed--something done by a only small handful of surgeons in the nation. He did the surgery and I have my life back! No more standing at my desk at work crying in pain. I can pick up my kid. He's also a very personable doc. Can't thank Dr. P and Dr. Lutton enough!!

Dr Lutton of The Centers for Advanced Orthopedics is a superior, knowledgeable, respectful problem-solving shoulder surgeon on staff at George Washington, University Hospital teaching/supervising GW resident doctors. Did not have to wait too long to see Dr.Lutton after my scheduled appointment time! I was out of his office in 30 minutes! Dr.Lutton explained to me via visuals the extent of my injuries and the surgery procedure! He asked me if I had any questions about the injuries and gave me couple of options to fix the problem! He also gave me his personal email to email him if my surgery was not scheduled in two days! Dr. Lutton did not rush the meeting and he was very easy to talk to! I am glad I took the second opinion to see Dr.Lutton! Before he left the room, he said: “ i will take good care if you”. Those beautiful 7 words put my anxiety to rest, as I was very worried about the procedure! I am looking forward to Dr. Lutton fixing my shoulder so that I can have a functional right arm!🙏🏼
