She is not responsive at all and cancelled appointments day of. When she does respond via the portal, she ignores questions and provides snide remarks. She never followed up about my abnormal bloodwork and sent meds to an online pharmacy instead of asking for a local pharmacy, making me wait another week to get treatment. Terrible doctor - can't even provide base-line healthcare.

Terrible doctor. Asks questions then never follows up, not responsive, doesn't follow up about abnormal bloodwork, cancelled appointments at last minute. Doesn't provide baseline healthcare.

I went to see Dr El Maouche for metabolic dysfunction and found her to be both excellent and thorough. I'm glad to have such a competent doctor overseeing my swathe of health issues.

I was switched to Dr. El-Maouche when my old provider left for a different opportunity. She has a cold office demeanor, but that would be fine if not for other issues. As a Type 1 Diabetic, the most important part of being a continuous care provider is responding to messages about prescription refills and pre authorizations needed for many medications. It took me 3 weeks to get a prescription refilled. And this happens every time I need help from her. If you’re a type 1 diabetic, find a different provider. I have seen many others in my 15 years as a T1 and she is the worst.

Waited for an hour. When she finally saw me, she couldn’t find any of the my records that had been sent weeks before, didn’t know I was there or who referred me. Very frustrating and unnecessarily time- consuming.

Dismissive and impatient during appointment. Gave "because I say so"-type responses to my questions that never gave me a real explanation for her reasoning. Refused to screen me or perform blood work even though I came in with abnormal lab results. I was left with the overwhelming sense that my complaints about my symptoms were being trivialized. When I explained just how damaging my symptoms were to my quality of life, she did not acknowledge me.

Did not answer my questions about my symptoms in a very thorough or helpful manner. I was simply trying to understand her basis for refusing me any kind of bloodwork or treatment in spite of having recent lab results that came up abnormal from my primary care physician. The overall interaction was hasty and dismissive, even though she was the one who was an hour late to the appointment. She was contrite for being so, but then became impatient to wrap up our conversation and told me she had other patients to get to. I also did not care for her apparent apathy when I explained just how negatively my symptoms were affecting my quality of life and mental health. I was forced to wait over 9 months for that appointment due to Covid and due to the negligence of the call center staff at GW, and now the only thing I'm left with is more questions, a sick body and no recourse.

I saw her after another doctor in the practice retired. She seemed very nice during the first and only time we met. But over the last week she has been completely unresponsive to my emails and phone calls requesting my test results and a prescription renewal (originally written by a doctor no longer at the practice). First time I called to check on these items, I was told that she had received my email and would surely respond that day. Three days after the first call, I called for the third time and was told that it was unclear why she hadn't responded yet to my emails or my phone calls but that they would once again request that she respond back to me. in the meanwhile, I have no idea what my test results indicated and do not have needed Rx per my treatment plan.
