Dr. Henry J. Fishman's Online Review Report Card

I was in the office today and over herd the nurses talking about there co worker I think that’s very unprofessional. The nurse name was Bianca if she’s talking about her co worker is she talking about the patients.

I have seen D.r Fishman for almost 20 years. Dr. Fishman is a fantastic doctor - he explains everything and ensures that I understand his diagnosis and his treatment plan. His office staff is amazing. I now drive almost 30 miles to still see him because he is the best allergist around.

Dr. Fishman was recommended to me by my PCP to get allergy tested. When I looked online there were so many conflicting ratings from site to site and honestly was a bit apprehensive to go because of some of the negative remarks on here. However, I was presently surprised by the great customer service and friendliness of his staff. He has a very gentle demeanor, pleasant bedside manners (which can't be said about all doctors), was attentive to my concerns and made sure that all concerns were addressed. I definitely never felt like a number where he had to rush me to get to the next patient! I appreciated him and his staff so much and have recommended him to numerous friends.

He will bill you outrageous ammounts

I have been going to Dr. Fishman for about 20 years. He is the absolute BEST! I used to cough for months on end from allergies but my ENT told me that it wasn't allergies. Dr. Fishman quickly figured it all out and stopped my cough in two weeks with proper meds and now allergy shots.

My stepdaughter went to this place for allergy testing. She was allergic to a lot of stuff and started taking shots. After a while she asked about learning to do the shots and home and they said no. I get shots from another doctor and they encouraged me to do so to save money. Been doing it for three years. So, she goes in to get the shots and they give her someone else's medicine. She starts going into shock and they had to give her the epi pen twice. Now they are sending us a bill for $600 because Blue Cross won' cover their outrageous charges. If you go to these people, just know they will gouge you to the fullest extent and may kill you if you get the wrong medicine. I would give 0 stars if it would let me.

EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN! My son has been treated by Dr. Fishman from age 6 months to his present age of 33. Dr. Fishman aggressively treated my son for asthma, extensive environmental and food allergies and eczema over the years. He even suspected and recommended that my son at age 9 have a MRI which confirmed he had a brain tumor. My son was initially seen by a pediatrician who attributed my son's symptoms to environmental allergies. This pediatrician advised that my son's symptoms would dissipate in roughly 3 months with the first frost. I have been treated by Dr. Fishman, personally for a return of my asthma after over 40 yrs. Apparently, it was discovered that I was allergic to certain types of evergreens. For 9 months I continued to have recurring asthma attacks and upper respiratory infections. Dr. Fishman was relentless in treating me and I have been stable for 18 months. Over this period he prescribed 2 injections once a month administered by an office nurse. In 18 months I have not experienced an asthma attack and I have only had 2 common cold over this last 1-1/2 years. Aside from the monthly injections (one in each arm) I am off all oral medications and inhalers previous used for months to treat my asthma.

Let me start by saying Dr Canady is absolutely wonderful. She has always been kind, consistent, and has my best interests at heart. Most of the staff is fine, but a couple of nurses gave me attitude on more then one occasion. Also Dr Fishman is a bit two faced. He is very kind during your consultation to get you to sign up, but I have found him to be very condescending and rude, unwilling to take the time to talk through my care, but write me a prescription when the allergy shots didn’t seem to be working and move through to the next patient. He also pushed rush immunotherapy rather than single shots which is much more expensive so check with your insurance first to see what they cover. Ask Fishman allergy for the charge codes for this service because this is a regular doctor visit per hour (so 2-3 hours x 80 I believe is what they bill for doctors visit) and with rush immunotherapy you go in multiple times. You could be billed $240 for each visit in the beginning and your Insursnce may not cover all that. For single shots it’s like $30 because you’re not seeing a physician, just a nurse. So single shots is a more affordable option that rush immunotherapy. Because I didn’t do a good job of checking with my insurance I paid like $4000 out of pocket when all was said in done. Dr Canady was incredible and empathetic throughout my journey there and helped me every step of the way, Dr Fishman just wanted to bill more. I went for 2 years, the allergy shots didn’t help me in the end.
