He never gave up on me! He worked diligently to diagnose my problem and get me the right treatment - even when it seemed hopeless! So thankful for him and his dedication!

Want to commend Dr. Aduli for his persistence and excellence in treating me. Thanks to him, I have a diagnosis of early stage esophageal cancer. It would have been quite easy for him not to have devoted this extra effort. A regular endoscopy last summer showed malignant cancer cells floating in my stomach, but no source. On a second endoscopy right afterwards, Dr. Aduli’s colleague could not find an ulcer or lesion. But Dr. Aduli said he was very worried and scheduled me for a PET Scan to see if I had tumors growing in me some place that were throwing off loose cancer cells. That report was negative. He said “let’s do this every three months” and so Aduli did another endoscopy 10 days ago. This time he found a “subtle ulcer”, and the biopsies were malignant. While he was on the phone with me telling me the results, he got me scheduled to see oncology. I saw the oncologist today, who said that I have an excellent prognosis because the cancer was caught so early. Had Dr. Aduli not been so persistent, I would not have known about this cancer for another couple of years, at which point the statistics say it is effectively untreatable. He also happens to be a really nice person, and kind to the other staff with whom he works. Model for what doctors should be. Thanks, guy!

Not only did Dr. Aduli successfuly diagnose a medical problem that I had been dealing with for over two years, he was also by far the most caring doctor that I have had in my 47 years. He personally called and checked on me more than once after test procedures, even calling once to give me a test result on the day he was leaving for vacation. After he had set me up with a surgeon, he continued to call to check on my progress with my surgery. Hopefully, his students are not only taking the opportunity of being educated with his medical knowledge, but also the way in which Dr. Aduli makes his patients and their families feel supported and comforted during a challenging time in their lives. I believe this is another very important form of patient care.
