Dr. Starr was extremely patient and very thorough in his explanation of my spine problem. He spent a great deal of time reviewing my options. I never felt rushed and asked many questions which he answered. I will go for a second opinion.

Dr. Starr is exceptional. He calmly and clearly explains everything and also listens intently to the patient's questions and concerns. The office is friendly and welcoming and the staff is personable and eager to help. Very positive visit.

Dr. Starr met with me to discuss possible surgery. He is exceptionally learned in his field and that was clear in our conversation. He was frank in his description of a complicated procedure and equally honest regarding recovery. Although I was running approximately 20 minutes late for my appointment with Dr. Starr and anticipated that due to my tardiness I would need to wait for a later opening, I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Starr saw me within 5 minutes of my arrival and instead of rushing me out the door in order to see his next patient, he spent at least 45 minutes with me discussing my medical options. This is unheard of in the Medical Profession as typically the patient would be "penalized" for his/her tardiness and made to wait for a long period of time prior to being seen by the physician. This was not the case. I find that Dr. Starr and his PA, Caroline are genuinely concerned about whatever ails you and are extremely qualified to resolve those issues. I definitely would give them a 10 "Starr" rating if that was an option.

As usual, Dr. Starr has lots of time for his patients. He takes all the time needed to explain the options for treatment with empathy and kindness.

Unlike other physicians I have visited in the past few years, Dr. Starr looks at you (the patient), not the computer. He also listens; what a refreshing experience. He then gives you his unvarnished diagnosis, but in a kind way, employing gentle humor that helps make you understand his thoughts and how you can benefit from them.
