Medstar Health: Radiology At Medstar Washington Hospital Center - Main Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I was treated so horribly here. There was ONE nurse and ONe doctor who saw me and treated me as a human being. Everyone else treated me like a number or a chart. Western medicine has done a lot of great things for us as humans AND it leaves a lot to be desired. The physiological aspect to birthing is completely ignored by SO many people in medicine and this hospital is no exception. The surgeon who preformed my C-section completely ignored my concerns and my partners and he was a complete d**k to both of us. The nurses in the maternity ward were awful as well. I genuinely don’t understand any of the positive reviews here. If you’re told to go to this hospital to have your baby, please try everything you can to NOT.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST ER IN DC! My daughter had hot food spilled on her, went to convenient care who refused to treat her and said she had to go to the BURN UNIT. . She only had some 1 st degree burns. They kept her there for 3 hrs waiting to be seen, then another 3 hrs for discharge papers to be signed. All they did was wrap her thigh. No medication. NOTHING!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! CANT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT SOMEONE WHO REALLY HAD A PROBLEM WOULD DO,,,, DIE WAITING FOR A DR TO SHOW UP

Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis should be fired and her medical license revoked for all the disinformation about vaccines and blatant bigotry she posts online

The lack of empathy from employees is ridiculously low. Why work in healthcare?

I waited 3 days to moved from icu to a room on another floor after I was cleared to leave icu. When I was finally moved I was moved to an absolutely filthy room with a flooded overfill toilet and debris all over the floor. The nurse dropped my phone in the first minute of being there and the head nurse wasn’t listening to my complaints at all. My roommate was the rudest human on earth and they catered to his every whim. He was surrounded by empty cups that he continually poured soda into and never shut up. This was unacceptable and borderline a health risk. I walked around without being stopped , they showed zero care for me and I walked around taking photos of broken equipment and dirty floors including the room I was moved into

I’ve never been so disappointed in the Drs at WHC . They act like they care but clearly they don’t. I have a health problem since last year been seeing multiple Drs and they keep giving me a referral for a CT scan but they don’t provide enough information with my condition to the insurance company for CT to be approved. I’ve contacted insurance and apparently they are just waiting on the Drs call to approve this . I’ve had 3 appointments at radiology for this scan and I get there after drinking the dye for the scan and they can’t see me because the scan has not been approved. No one calls to tell me that. Insurance company has sent multiple faxes to the different Drs that I’ve seen to get more information and no one cares to call insurance back . I’m done with this hospital going to start making appointments at GW in the future.

We are visiting because my wife’s dad is having surgery. We have a two year old. We were forced to wait in stuffy, hot, old sunroom and were not allowed to bring our son on to the cafeteria, so he could get a drink and a banana. I am writing this from a bench outside this miserable edifice.

2/23 at 8:36 A Nurse (Eta) was in the room talking to roommate and I asked if when she was finished could she get something for me once she was finished. The nurse replied NO! She said push the nurse button and call your nurse to help you.This happen on 3E night shift. Also gave me outdated supplies.

This Hospital has changed so much the lack of communication, compassion and apathy has diminished. I was hung up on just because I was trying to get info for my brother who was admitted their after surgery and sent to intensive care following a routine surgical procedure. I am not sure what happen because I was not there but can say one thing after his release I can't get much help. We do better when we know better It's not about anything or anyone but my brother getting better and all that am do is to help him get better and can't get the help from at this point from WHC Dtaff.
