The nurses and doctors were amazing, but they need more. The wait was a solid 2 hours (and I think some walk-ins waited longer,) but the staff was very polite and professional. They listened to my concerns, conducted the tests quickly, and got me needed prescriptions.

One of the worst I’ve been. Waited almost 2 hours to see the practitioner for less than 5 minutes. They told me I should go see a specialist because while they can help with my injury in the office, I would risk an infection. Also, the flat $250 fee for a visit is insanely exploitative for people with no insurance. I’ve had better walk in and appointment care at the Cleveland and Petsworth urgent care (not medstar) in less than 1 hour. Both locations were more kind and detailed in their examination and more affordable.

I have a 5:40 appointment still sitting in the waiting area at 7:51 pm. Walkin we’re send before my appointment time. Very disappointed with the service. I will not recommend this place.

This office was well-organized and efficient given the large number of patients seeking care. They had streamlined processes, good health measures in place, and the medical staff were kind, attentive, and responsive. I was touched by their kindness and thank them for their caring approach to healthcare.

I unfortunately had a very negative experience with MedStar Urgent Care at Adams Morgan. The long and short of it is that I wish that there had been better triaging, and I ended up with a near-death experience due to the amount of time that I spent in the waiting room -- despite having made an appointment in advance. Essentially, I woke up with unexplained excruciating internal pain and will spare further medical details. I made an appointment, yet ended up waiting 2 hours in the waiting room here (despite arriving on-time for my scheduled appointment), during which time I continued to rapidly deteriorate medically. I went to the front desk several times explaining the circumstances and in visible severe pain, and still I was not seen any sooner. Additionally, once I was seen for vitals, I continued to have to wait for the doctor until I literally slumped over in the hallway (which finally got the doctor running). After the doctor spent just a few minutes with me, I was sent immediately to the Emergency Room at Georgetown and ended up needing major surgery for a critical condition with a high mortality rate. I understand that triage is difficult; however, I believe that given my medical state at the time, that should have not entailed waiting so long - especially as I had also scheduled the appointment in advance (and I had already waited a few hours at home for the appointment). I am only grateful that the doctor expedited my entry to the Emergency Room that I transferred to, as I was operated on essentially in the nick of time, and I just now discharged 8 days later.
