Dr. Hashemi and Dr. Yousefi are amazing. They really work well together to get at the root cause and get you answers. Usually you have to see the surgeon, then get the images separately with a physiatrist. Dr. Hashemi just sends you across the hall to Dr. Yousefi.

I consider myself very fortunate for having been referred to the Nerve, Bone & Joint Institute after I fell at work and broke my wrist. Dr. Hashemi and his team are truly some of the best in the business, and that is the reason I commute from northern Pennsylvania to DC to receive treatment. Not only does Dr. Hashemi have an incredible amount of competency and skill in orthopedics and peripheral nerve studies, both of which I required for my injury; he also has a genuine sense of compassion and concern for his patients. Dr. Hashemi remembers details about my work and my family even though months will go by between our visits. He listens to my concerns and is always able to thoughtfully and articulately answer my questions. He understood I was hesitant to have a second surgery after my initial fracture repair and was willing to give me several months of time between my first and second procedure to see if my nerve issues could be resolved with non-surgical methods. Not only is Dr. Hashemi an absolute pleasure to work with, but his supporting team is fantastic as well. The receptionists are always incredible with scheduling my appointments. Many times, my flights have been canceled because of inclement weather, and the NBJI team always manages to find a way to schedule me a new appointment at my preferred time at the last minute. Likewise, the finance team is always helpful answering any questions and has many times handled complications I’ve had with worker’s compensation directly. If you’re in the unfortunate situation of needing medical intervention for a neuro-musculoskeletal concern, I could not make a higher recommendation than the Nerve, Bone & Joint Institute. These medical professionals change lives, and I am so thankful for how they have impacted mine.

I wish I had seen Doctor Hashemi sooner! Unlike the other surgeons I visited, Doctor Hashemi led the appointment with investigative questions and *actually listened!!* to my responses. Dr. Hashemi was able to view my symptoms through a neurological lens that led him to suspect the causes of my symptoms to be something that had not been previously considered. He ensured I understood his thought process and agreed with every step of our action plan. I am confident Dr. Hashemi has my best interests in mind and will not dismiss any concerns I, or the action plan may present.

Where has this place been my whole life?? Wish I had started off with their doctors rather than going through all the ones I did that got me to where I am now. Such patience and background knowledge... It's unreal. I was listened to and concerns validated. I actually feel like there's hope for my future after my appointment at the Nerve Bone and Joint institute. Would highly recommend to anyone struggling with any physical issues. They take things seriously and mean business. Can't wait for my next appointment.
