I have previously left a 5 star review on another platform about Dr.Ruff and his team. However I am leaving this here for others to know and book in confidence with Dr.Ruff and his team since it’s on the web. The location is equipped with a surgery center so no one would ever know you are going in to get surgery. First, Dr. Ruff is super loving and kind. I came here for him to fix prior work done that I was too scared to ever re-do. I went to “the best doctor” and Dr.Ruff had to fix that work. Honestly I’m so grateful for Dr.Ruff, he cares and he is so OCD with his work, he has to like his work before he’s satisfied to ask if you like it. Which is totally cool of him. I am currently looking for another service and as I’m researching no one has better reviews and better pics than Dr.Ruff who I will hands down say, IS THE BEST DMW COSMETIC DOCTOR!!!! For those who are looking and need reassurance, look no further he’s the BEST! His whole team is awesome. Even the Anesthesiologist gave me his phone number in case I needed anything at all. Top Notch Service. Trust me. DR.RUFF is the Best!

I don’t understand any of the negative comments in here! Ive been going to Ruff since 2007 with five major procedures plus several minor. Nothing but A+ all around: staff, knowledge/expertise, outcomes, follow up etc. and the prices sound way out of wack I so I question the validity of these posts to begin with.

Dr. Ruff - All-star plastic surgeon My experience at West End Plastic Surgery was top-notch, and I would highly recommend Dr. Ruff to anyone looking for a talented and professional plastic surgeon. The accolades do not just stop with Dr. Ruff; his entire staff, from the nurses to the front desk, were all personable and eager to assist, resulting in an excellent experience. I've had stubborn fat in my abdominal and chest areas that I could not work off due to injuries. Other plastic surgeons could not effectively remove these problem areas, but Dr. Ruff was able to entirely eliminate them with precision and skill, which left me in awe. Additionally, his bedside manner is magnificent - you can tell he genuinely cares about his patient's results and satisfaction. Overall, I'd give my experience a 10 out of 10; highly recommend!

M:y experience is now over 12 years old. I had a serious plastic surgery emergency that had been performed by Dr. Ruff. I called his office and the answering service couldn't find anyone. I remembered another doctor's name in that same office and she was available. However, she said doctor Ruff and none of his staff went to Suburban Hospital and I would have to be transported by private ambulance to Washington Hospital Center which was where he practiced. I had to do that even though by that time I was unconscious from the shots from the Suburban Hosp. Emergency Room. A plastic surgeon at Wash. Hospital Center did handle the emergency surgery required. Dr. Ruff's office never ever called me to see how that emergency turned out--or whether I was dead or alive. They clearly had all the information since the emergencvy room and his own answering service couldn't find anyone in his practice to handle this emergency. I notice he now practices at ALL the local hospitals. I guess I had to be a part of his growing up and out. But he could have been concerned about a patient who had to have an emergency 'fix' resulting from his surgery .......

I can’t begin to thank Dr Ruff , his team and Renee, the stellar aesthetician, for the wonderful treatment before and after my procedure. I underwent facial resurfacing and tightening via the Renuvion non-surgical method along with fat transfer. The results are incredible - over and above my expectations and my only regret is that I waited so long. The resurfacing is not for the faint of heart but Dr Ruff and Renee were very explicit and realistic about the recovery which was exactly as they had explained. These are not painful procedures but the resurfacing is a process with a timeline. Suffice it to say, after 5 weeks, I look and feel at least 10 to 15 years younger. I no longer have to stretch the skin on my eyes to apply liner, I no longer have saggy jowls, even my ear lobes are tight and I no longer have age spots, broken beings or large pores. It’s remarkable!. If you are looking for a long term non surgical relatively inexpensive solution to rejuvenate your face, l would highly recommend this procedure. However, more than that I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Ruff and his team and of course Renee who is the best aesthetician I have ever used. Thank you all for making me feel myself again.

I had a rhinoplasty done with Dr. Ruff to correct a deviated septum and enhance aesthetics. For one year, Dr. Ruff acted as if everything was fine. After one year, he admitted my nose needed revision and offered to do a tip plasty to improve appearance. I obtained second, third, and fourth opinions and none of the surgeons recommended the course of action Dr. Ruff had suggested. In fact, they all told me I need a revision surgery since I now have bilateral nasal valve collapse, still have a deviated septum, and have a very weak nasal structure. Based on my experience (Dr. Ruff's words and actions), I found him to be a terrible surgeon who lacks transparency and a genuine concern for his patient's well-being.

Dr. Ruff is an absolutely excellent plastic surgeon, and a very patient, warm, and kind person. I've had a range of laser treatments and a couple surgeries here. All of them went very well, and the team made sure I knew what to expect when healing. I would not hesitate to see Dr. Ruff. He's the best!

Last year I decided to do an areola reduction surgery with Dr. Ruff at the West End Plastic Surgery, and I regret the decision until today. My areolas have an uneven shape and excessive scar tissue. For the last year, I was not able to live a normal life or show my breast to anyone. Right after the surgery last fall, I experienced excessive bleeding in my right breast, and my areola turned dark blue. Several weeks after the surgery, Dr. Ruff told me to wear clear patches in the area to eliminate scarring, which I did. I have had several follow-ups throughout the year but saw no improvement in my condition. A year after the surgery, Dr. Ruff saw the unsatisfactory results and agree to do the same procedure at no cost. At this point, I do not have trust in him and will not undergo the same procedure. I believe it should have been done right the first time, but now I have to leave with uneven breasts covered in huge scars. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see myself naked.

I leave you a one star review. The reason why is by photos shown below. A little context about this review. I had this surgery done in 2009, and I was 18. I am a male. I unfortunately moved away a year after I had the procedure so I was not able to address this, nor my young adult self came into consciousness to address this sooner. I did have a problem with my drainage and I did have to keep them in longer. When the drains were taken out, and a couple days later, my body reopened the cut up. So he stated that my abdomen wall has to close on its own, which is why I have this dent inside. I had to drain myself everyday till my body closed up the hole. For a plastic surgeon don't you think that you should have offered any suggestions for scar cream to help reduce the appearance? Well I was not offered any, nor was the conversation ever brought up.I spent 14k at the time the surgery. The scar did not age well, and the dent in my side is not what I paid for. Maybe you must have been new to the field when I had this done 10 years ago, but this is just ugly and has affected my self esteem. I am insecure about my sexual partners look past my underwear line because of the scar. It has affected my back since I was not able to sit up straight right away. The scar looks highly uneven as well, and in the middle it looks like the lines did not meet up, and it looks like a mistake. The sides of my hips, I still have the little tip sticking out as well at the end where my scar ends. I have a long toughness in a spot that is still there when I push on the scar line. Now if you want to redo this for me, you can contact me but it would be with a different surgeon. In the end, I did have a follow up with Paul, I had experienced some hernia pains, and when I spoke with my primary doctor, they just said well you did have surgery there. So when I saw him, his first statement was, "well that scar could look better."Did I miss anything Paul?
