Sam Moghtaderi's Online Review Report Card

I've seen Dr. Moghtaderi several times for treatment of trigger finger. Today's visit was nothing short of amazing. Virtually no pain, and even after the numbing effects are gone, nothing more than what he told me to anticipate. I now am in line for surgery with him, and I couldn't be more at ease. One of my favorite things is how he educates those with him, and his patients. I love that office, and recommend him very highly.

Does not take into consideration the history of the patient. Bed side manner not good, does not listen to the patient. Does not support the patient, was reduced to tears

I was referred to Dr. Moghtaderi by one of his own Receptionists, after finding myself in the ER with an apparent wrist fracture. I had fallen just a few feet from a step ladder, and when I stood-up my wrist was all bent out of place. An ER Doctor was able to push the radius bone back into place, and Dr. Moghtaderi suggested that we first try the cast option, which would presumably hold that bone in the correct position. We scheduled a follow-up visit about 1 week later, with the intention of performing another X-Ray procedure, to ensure that the bone did not shift out of place during the previous week. Unfortunately, the radius bone did move slightly out of its previous position. The Doctor went into great detail about the critical importance of having the bones of the wrist set perfectly. The reason is that the wrist provides so many different ranges of motion, and even 1 - 2 millimeters of bad alignment can result in significant reduction in wrist movement. He even went into detail with actual measurements displayed from the X-Ray. In my case, surgery was inevitable and required to correct radius bone mis-alignment. I was very impressed with Dr. Moghtaderi's expertise throughout this entire process.

In addition to his condescending attitude, Dr. Moghtaderi was unable to diagnose my condition. And now that I'm in more pain due to his poor diagnosis, he is getting rid of me by sending me to another doctor.

I went in with a whole list of questions written on a piece of paper, all of which were answered carefully and thoughtfully by Dr. Moghtaderi. I appreciated the time he spent explaining the details regarding everything I needed to know, such as: the kinds of tests that needed to be done to determine the underlying cause of my condition and the results of those tests, possible risk factors related to surgery, the entire surgical procedure from beginning to end, what to do and what not to do after undergoing surgery, and even important tips to know after removing the stitches (i.e. not to carry anything over 5 lbs during the recovery state). Basically, he gave me just what I asked for - complete and solid ANSWERS. I felt I could trust his professionalism, skills and recommendations after our first consultation. I chose Dr. Moghtaderi to be my surgeon on the same day I met him and scheduled my procedure right away. The only information that he wasn't too sure of was how much time it would take for the nerves in my joint to heal, and if they would actually be able to heal at a 100% rate. However, these factors are left to chance (depending on how damaged the nerves were and for how long they've remained damaged). I was just glad he didn't lie to me or exaggerate the success rate just to obtain another patient/surgery, like some other doctors do. He did guarantee that the pain in my arm would go away and that I would be feeling much better than I did before surgery. He was definitely right! I used to have a hard time just holding a cup in my hand. Now, I still have some numbness but I feel much more comfortable doing everyday tasks. If I have to name something negative: The only thing I didn't like was that Dr. Moghtaderi wasn't present in the recovery room after the surgery. I mean, his attending physician was there, who was attentive and nice but from a patient's point-of-view, it'd be better, more personal and a little more professional if the surgeon, himself, checked up on his patients or at least accompanied his fellow attendings. The next time I saw him was at my follow-up appointment. Definitely recommend him! I know ratings can be very different amongst reviewers but trust me when I say you should meet him first, and see for yourself if he's the right surgeon for you. He was for me!

I don't understand how this person can be called a doctor. He does not explain anything. He does not want to answer any questions and if you push for a question to be answered, then you will receive a "I KNOW MORE THAN YOU-SO DON'T ASK" type of answer. He is very condescending and lacks respect for his patients. If you care about your health, do not go to this doctor because he does not care about you.

Dr.Sam is the most considerate Dr. ever meet.I would recommend everyone to be helped by him.He has vast knowledge in his field of practise and ready to answer all your questions addressed to him relating to your surgery and care.
