My experience with Dr. Nayar was excellent, and as far as medical issues go, I've seldom encountered a doctor as good in ANY speciality, and I've been to a lot all up and down the east coast. If, however, your condition is such that you need to have frequent contact with her office staff, you should probably seek another physician. A shame, because it seems that Dr. Nayar, as great a doctor as she is, seems isolated from the nitty-gritty goings on in the neurology office at Georgetown. And the billing practices of this office are legal, I guess, but far from user-friendly. Whether you choose this excellent doctor depends on your willingness to deal with the extraneous matters.

I see Dr. Nayar in the muscular dystrophy clinic at Georgetown University Hospital. She is very knowledgeable, caring, and explains everything well. I would definitely recommend her for treatment and management of neuromuscular diseases.

Do not go to this doctor! Her office staff is totally incompetent. They do not return phone calls and don’t care about refilling prescriptions even if your life/health depends on it. This is THE most poorly run office I’ve ever witnessed in my 30 years here in Washington, DC!!!
