Phenomenal surgeon! He recently performed a skin tag removal, he did an excellent job. He and his entire team was very thoughtful, took the time to explain all procedures, and was outstanding overall. I would highly recommend.

The most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced. The whole MedStar medical system is a mess and everyone here speak different words for the same problem. You will never know who’s words you can trust. Here are two examples. I spoke to more than 3 stuffs and made tons of calls (10mins-30mins waiting for each call) just to figure out why I can’t register an account on their web. And it turns out that the front desk forgot to send me a registration link which I have to ask during my first visit. But no one told me this until I really need this account to do something urgently. Also, when I told them I want to come by the office in the next days to grab something, they told me just "swing by the office" and grab the parts I need. And when I came by, they let me standby and wait for more than an hour. I AM REALLY IMPRESSED FOR SUCH "SWING BY"!

My son had several surgeries done by Dr. Baker and they all went well and achieved the intended purpose of getting my son healthy.

Hello back in March I had my earlobes sutured up nicely from this Doctor he did such a great job but he's also getting ready to perform abdominal plasty and I'm excited.

I am writing this to replace an earlier, angrier review. Long story short - Dr. Baker recommended the Earwell system for my baby, saying only that it was "covered" by my insurance. I flipped my lid when I received a bill showing that the system cost $7,500, and I was responsible for a portion of this. Not only this, but when I called they office, they were unsympathetic and told me it was my responsibility to find out what procedures cost. I mean, technically, yes, but I assumed if they were going to do something that expensive they would let me know about it first. That said, my overall experience at the office was very good and Dr. Baker seems like a very nice person. I don't know what the bigger picture is here. Maybe it was a genuine one-time miscommunication. Maybe it wasn't and others have similar stories. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but also don't want some unsuspecting new mom to end up with a huge bill. So I'll just describe my experience and leave it at that.

Dr. Stephen Baker is a truly gifted surgeon and also a wonderful person. He's extremely talented, personable, and kind. His staff is also terrific. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and their highest priority. I couldn't recommend Dr. Baker highly enough. He's first rate.

Dr. Baker is one of the kindest and most professional doctors I've ever met. He's extraordinarily talented, but he's also one of the most down to earth people I've ever met. His staff is also first rate. I always look forward to my appointments with him. It's a pleasure to work with them, and I feel lucky to know them.

I feel I need to share my story so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I took my newborn in to see Dr. Baker due to very mild ear protrusion. He recommended the earwell system - for the most part a few pieces of plastic and glue - to basically tape his ears to his head. I thought maybe I was being an overanxious new mom in even treating baby's ears, but I was told that they had dealt with my insurance (which is one of the best) before and that it was 'covered'. Seeing as how it was an incredibly simple procedure, I didn't think to ask about the cost. Since everything in medicine tends to be overpriced, I even thought it could be a couple hundred, but was ok with that. Imagine my surprise when I saw my bill for SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED dollars, which was only partially covered by insurance. The office was unapologetic and said I should have asked how much it cost. I'm a new mom and I feel completely punched in the gut over this. I don't want it to happen to anyone else.

Suffered a traumatic injury after an accidental fall, and he made a derogatory cowardly insult to his medical assistant right before I left from first appointment. Wasn't straight forward at all to what should happen moving forward, so I received much needed help from competent medical professionals elsewhere. People spend way too much money on medical costs in the United States to be treated terribly. Especially after experiencing a life altering event which caused excess amounts of excruciating pain, Dr. Baker, in a position of power and authority, had no right to degrade and call me vile names while laughing about it. He's stock filled with ego, cruel, and twisted.
