Suzanne Adler's Online Review Report Card

I have been Dr. Adler's patient since 2006 and I am pleased with her as my endocrinologist. She listens carefully, provides options/suggestions, congratulates successes and motivates. When my medical cocktail proved too strong (my glucose levels were tanking at night) she immediately revised my treatment plan. She has monitored my thyroid nodules and takes time to speak with me about other factors affecting my health. I would continue to be her patient, but I have relocated more than 30 miles away. I hope my new endo is as good!

My husband called on Wednesday MORNING for an insulin refill becasue he is a type I diabetic who uses a pump. Because our insurance had changed mail order pharmacies, his insulin didn't get filled. Since the pharmacy said it would take 5-7 days for insulin to be mailed, we asked the office for a bridge prescription to be filled at a local pharmacy. The office said the doctor would get back to us in 24-72 hours. You would think someone would have understood that if he didn't get the medicine it would be an emergency, considering it is an endocrinology office. I called today to get an emergency refill from an on call physician in the practice and the answering service still doesn't seem to understand the concept of how bad running out of insulin is for a type I diabetic and said the office would get the message MONDAY WHICH IS NEARLY 48 HOURS LATER. They are a horrible office and unreliable and unresponsive about something as basic as insulin. NO ONE seems to understand that. Instead of filling a prescription, now we have to go to an emergency room for a prescription. UNACCEPTABLE. We will be finding a new endocrinology office.

My husband is a type I diabetic who uses a pump. We called their office on WEDNESDAY MORNING to let them know he was going to run out of medications over the weekend. We called again Thursday. THEY DID NOTHING. Today we tried calling the office and again they said that refills have to wait until MONDAY. This is an emergency situation that could have been prevented by someone who checks the messages. I have found their office to be unreliable. Our insurance company switched mail order providers without letting us know and therefore, no meds were delivered. We just asked for a bridge prescription for an emergency situation. This is unethical that it has taken over 24h to respond with a refill. Dr. Adler may be nice however we will be looking for a new endocrinology office based on our experience.

There's a reason that it takes a while to get on her calendar. She is a great doctor who is very attentive to her patients, so naturally, she is in demand. She is very responsive to emails as well.

Excellent care and time spent with Dr Adler from the first time I saw her as refereed by an allergist, to when I started having thyroid problems, and through my pregnancy.

ZERO STARS: Dr Adler walked in, did not introduce herself, and said she did not know why the office had scheduled a new patient appointment since she was leaving for a sabbatical the next day. She then asked me, "What do you want?" I was stunned but managed to say why I was there. She walked back out. Less than 60 seconds had transpired. I was given a lab work order and sent away. Lab work + Unprofessional "Office Visit" totaled nearly $1000 billed to insurance.

I went to Adler at the recommendation of my primary care physician. She did an evaluation and sent me to get an ultrsound. It was months before I heard what the outcome was. It took the primary care doctor contacting her before I found out I had leasions on my thyroid. Adler called to apologize but I did not have faith in her care afterwards.

Dr. Adler is exceptional. She is very thoughtful, thorough and has excellent follow-up. I think she really cares about her patients and has always spent a lot of time with me.
