Terry Thompson's Online Review Report Card

My mother and I love Dr. Thompson. We don’t like the Howard university hospital because of how poorly it functions (that is a whole other review) but we decided it was important to have this doctor perform my ACL repair reconstruction surgery. I will admit, it’s hard to get in to see him because he is in such high demand but this man does not play games! He shows up and is engaged and present. He takes your treatment seriously and expects nothing less than excellence from his students and residents. His desire for perfection and attention to detail goes unmatched. If you are an athlete or just someone who takes their health very seriously you will thrive with this doctor. If you are somewhat careless, or are unable to listen and follow his orders, you may not vibe with him. As long as you follow his instructions, you will most likely have a swift and painless recovery. Can’t thank him enough for helping me get my full range of motion back in my leg.

he did an excellent job on my knee replacement. I chose him because I heard he has an excellent reputation. So I am shocked at the other rating..

very terrible waited 2 month and cancled appointment 2 times had to switch to another doctor. i would not see this doctor or recommend

Dr. Thompson's office is poorly run. They have an overflow of patients packed in a small space with uncomfortable furniture. It took two hours to be seen by Dr. Thompson for 10 minutes. Dr. Thompson gave the option of getting the MRI results by phone. Three weeks have passed and 5 messages have been left. Still no results.

I saw this doc a few years ago--he was paid by federal workers comp. Did not examine me properly, dismissed the problems I was having. Def a paid tool of the feds, despite allegedly being "independent". Did not read the history of the injury from other docs.the next doc I saw was appalled at the condition of my injury (the next day)
