Wayne Olan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Olan is one of the worst doctors I have ever engaged with. He gave me Kyphoplasty surgery which absolutely did not work at all. He did not see me before or after the surgery. I called his office 10 consecutive days in a row explaining that I was in the same amount of pain. If not more pain than before I had the surgery. Dr. Olan did not even have the decency to return my call even once. Showed absolutely no care or professional follow up with me as a human being or a medical patient‼️

Dr Olan is terrible ?? He supposedly gave me Kyphoplasty surgery. I did not see him before the surgery or after the surgery. I am still in as much pain if not more. I called him 10 consecutive days in a row and the man did not have the decency to return my call knowing that the surgery was unsuccessful and I was in a lot of pain. Does not seem to care about me or any other patients as human beings or medical patients.

You can consider yourself very lucky if you need help and are able to access Dr. Olan for surgery. He is an excellent surgeon.

The worst Dr I have seen. Doesn’t return calls, had a kyphoplasty and I didn’t even see him before or after procedure. I don’t even know if he really worked on me. Do not recommend him. Still in a lot of pain…

Highly skilled and personable. Gives cell number in case you have an after hours issue and encourages you to use it

Dr Olan addressed my complex situation with empathy and offered treatment options that were concise and easy to understand. He was very confident and caring which I found reassuring.

I have never posted a review of a physician until today. Felt compelled to do so based on my experiences since 2015. I was referred to Dr. Olan for injections to address back pain. The injections often would result in some relief and his demeanor at the time of the appointment was certainly courteous. However, in those 2 or 3 occurrences where I experienced no improvement or when the injection had caused excessive pain lasting longer than he had told me to expect, my telephone calls and emails through the GW system were never responded to. In one situation, I called and spoke to his assistant at GW almost every day for approximately 2 weeks and still never received a response call. I gave the benefit of the doubt until I recently called the surgery center where he performs injections. I had thought that the lack of medical professional could have been his assistant's failure to pass along my message. But the person at the surgery center passed along my message when I called to obtain my records saying that she thought that my experience must be unusual. 2 days later still no calls even though she advised me that she did convey my message and was surprised that he had not called me back. Was very surprised to see some of these very positive reviews. My experience certainly has not been a positive one and would not recommend him to anyone.

Never posted a review of a doctor before but want all to be forewarned. Been seeing him since 2015 for injections. Moderately successful results and pleasant manner during visits. But though my calls were not often he would never call you back if you call (or email) to report a concern about an injection (eg, excessive pain, failure of relief). Assistant said that "he is a surgeon he doesn't really return calls." Got to point where I was speaking to his asst daily for weeks but still no resp
