List of Cape Henlopen Dermatology Pa: Townsend-Winte Nancy A's Reviews
I am a patient of this practice. I called to make an appointment with my provider Angela Barber with a questionable spot on my face. I was told no appointments were available. I had to question what I was suppose to do with a suspicious specimen on my face. I was finally given an appointment several weeks out with a new person to the practice. This is not a valid resolution for a current patient with a concerning issue.
I have become increasingly frustrated with this place! My daughter and I have both had multiple appointments canceled. When my appointment was rescheduled, I was given only one option which was the next day and that is not possible with work so they told me they could reschedule me again in another 3 months! I didn't cancel the appointment so making me wait 3 months is crazy. When I tried to take my daughter to her appointment this afternoon, there were two accidents so I tried to call and tell them we would be about 10 minutes late. The phones were turned off and they said they automatically turn them off on Friday afternoons. When we showed up the office was locked so we went to the other office and they said oh sorry, we should have told you that your appointment today was in a different office. When we walked in, we were 12 minutes past our appointment time and we explained we tried to call in and then had to try and find the office since our usual office was locked. The doctor then refused to see us. These doctors do not care about their patients at all!
This practice is a joke, and the only reason they stay in business is because a lack of providers including losing their own. They are constantly canceling our families appointments because they don’t have doctors. Or they reschedule us for an appointment and when we get to the office have the doors locked the phones turned off and so by the time we get ahold of someone 10 minutes later they refuse to see my small child whose been suffering for months. They literally should be reviewed for their horrible practices.
Angela Barber was jammed down my throat when Paige Venables left the practice. My last appointment Angela was extremely irritated because I asked her to do a whole body exam of my skin. I always thought that is why you went to a dermatologist. Later in the appointment she asked me a question and when I answered her question...Her response was I don't care...I have to ask the question to cover myself. The office staff is nasty. They obviously hate their jobs. I am so.....glad Paige Venables is back in the area and practicing at Green Dermatology in Milford, DE.
Other than how long it took to get appointment, which is nothing more than volume around here, my experience was stellar. Friendly reminders, courteous staff on check in and out and Angela Barber was very thorough with my 1st dermatology exam ever. I met Dr. Stickler who introduced himself, he did a facial once over on me( no noted problems), asked if there wany concerns once again. I did ask if I were to have any issues did i just need to call and Angela assured me that established patients would be seen as promptly as possible. I highly recommend Cape Dermatology.
The staff were wonderful! Brad and Dale were so kind and made me feel so comfortable during my minor procedure (since I am a big baby).
They do not care about their patients. I had a skin emergency have been going there for years and they told me they could fit me in in a few months. Zero care about their patients. In addition, you better love Jesus because they shove it down your throat. As a non-Christian I've never felt comfortable in this office ever!
HORRIBLE experience! Would not recommend. Morgan Findlay barely spent any time with my exam, was really rushing through it. Spent in the room maybe 5 minutes. I didn't even have a chance to ask her all my questions. Not coming back!
This was my second appointment at this practice. While the PA-C is nice, I felt she really didn’t exam me during my annual exam. She was barely in my room 5 minutes. She asked me if I had any spots of concerned, I showed her one, she briefly looked at me, said it didn’t look cancerous and asked if I wanted her to take a sample. I said no because frankly I don’t trust the doctor. I just moved to the area 1 year ago and prior when I went to my dermatologist in NC for skin exams they compared pictures from the previous appointment, examined my entire body to include feet, belly, legs. toes, fingers, my scalp, ears, etc , took new pictures and used their light to make sure they saw everything. They are the experts not me to look for skin cancer. It was a waste of my time and my insurance. This doctor relied on me telling her spots to look at. There would be no way the doctor would spot cancer. I even asked about spots on my face and said have they gotten darker or lighter and she said I have no idea I didn’t take pictures last time. So if they don’t take pictures how would they know if you had skin changes. I asked if she wanted to look at the back of my legs or lay down. She said no. Wow I felt like they robbed my insurance company and me of my time.
Horribly managed practice. This review is for the office manager, not specifically to the quality of care. In my 18 months using this practice I’ve had nothing but issues getting test results timely, appointments do not show up in the patient portal and they will cancel an appointment if you show ip in person, with your insurance card in your phone. They say they need the physical card even though they had my info in the system from previous visits and even referenced it. Their response when I offered to send them a pdf was “we don’t have email”. They said I needed to reschedule, no thanks. I’ll find a provider who knows how to run an office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
