He's really good at what he does, and he knows it. It seems like a schtick between him and the nurses that he's full of himself, but honestly; since I've had two breast surgeries by him on the same breast and it healed both times to look about as much like my untouched breast as I could possibly expect, he can brag all he wants!

I LOVE Dr. Spellman. I had a stereotactic breast biopsy at Beebe this morning and I was petrified. The techs, Hilary and Jacklyn, were beyond wonderful and Dr. Spellman immediately put me at ease. Little did I know that I would join him and the techs singing the theme from the Beverly Hillbillies tv show during the procedure. That was NOT what I was expecting but he changed a terrifying situation into one for which I have a funny story.

Because of Dr. Spellman's insistence to involve a gynecologist in my surgery, I found out that instead of a cancer mass I had a severe case of endometriosis. My surgery and recovery went better than expected and I am thankful that Dr. Spellman's persistence and due diligence lead to a better health experience.

He was my surgical oncologist. Straight forward. Does not sugar coat illness. When faced with stage 4 Cancer, he was aggressive with my plan of treatment.

Dr. Spellman diagnosed Melanoma on my neck and surgically removed the cancer. I've had rountine follow up visits with him for over ten years with no reoccurrence. Dr. Spellman is very knowledgable, skilled and caring.
