From the moment I stepped into the office I was feeling that this was the correct place to come to. I was taken immediately by staff to have the information Dr. Leitman needed to be able to help me with my problem. A few minutes later I was ushered into the office where Dr. Leitman would see me as a patient. After the staff person checked to make sure that the first person who asked me questions had asked the right questions. Then I was ushered in to take a picture of my knee that was causing pain. I wondered if they didn't also need to take a picture of my shoulder. That question was answered after speaking to Dr. Leitman for just a few seconds. Dr. Leitman answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly and talked about what I could expect now and in the future. I was extremely pleased with my visit and would be most happy to let my family and friends know about Dr. Leitman and his staff.

Dr Leitman ALWAYS listens, cares & has helpful things to tell me &/or do. Been my Ortho Dr thru nearly type surgeries in my 30 yrs here. I’ve never had any negative results from all my surgeries no matter how big or small it was. He’s NEVER not known what was wrong or what I needed done. Simply Best Dr & his Nurse, Maryanne is the Best of the Bestest !!

I have a fibula that sometimes dislocates. When it does I can see it displaced and I can't straighten my knee. It was not displaced during my visit. Dr Leitman said what I was describing was rare and I had a torn meniscus that required surgery. The torn meniscus was validated with an MRI. I don't feel that a torn meniscus would cause my fibula to protrude from the side of my knee. I suspect, but do not know, that a torn meniscus may be common in a 67 year old active male. I have canceled the surgery and, if needed, will seek a doctor that will listen. My knee is currently fine and I am wearing a brace that seems to stabilize my fibula. I feel that if I can keep it in place it will heal with benign neglect. I have researched a displaced fibula and it is rare and often diagnosed as a torn meniscus.
