Very good doctor - responsible for the birth of my first child and pregnancy of my second in a situation that would otherwise have prevented us from becoming parents. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, tentative as is the entire staff that worked under him at RAD.
Terrible! I am a survivor of long term sexual abuse from my ex-husband. Dr. Kovalevsky tried to force me to remember how many times my ex-husband raped me without a condom! My current husband and I have had five years of infertility yet he felt the need to dig further. When I told Dr. Kovalevsky that I didn't know how many times I was raped without a condom he got irritated with me and told me to think harder. The staff acts like they worship him whenever you complain. Avoid him if you can!
Dr. Kovalevsky has a welcoming smile and always made us feel welcome in his office.
My husband and I had been trying for a baby for about 32 months. We finally got pregnant with the help of RAD! Dr. Kovalevsky was caring and gave us his undivided attention with any problems and concerns we had! The thought of IVF was scary but the RAD clinicians and nurses made it so easy for us to understand!! I would like to point out that the main people who you see are the nurses, staff, and clinicians. They feel like family after awhile! I was sad to leave, but happy to be looking forward to the future! The only problem we had was the billing department. They really need to ease up on patients. I never felt like they understand that other personal problems arise and the bills may get paid just a little late. With the ups and downs of infertility, it would have been nice to have the billing department be as understanding and PATIENT as everyone else at RAD! Luckily, this was our only problem that we needed to complain about. All-in-all, it was a wonderful experience and I'm very happy with our results. Thank you RAD for your caring attitudes during a difficult time in our lives. We appreciate all the hard work, long hours, and weekends you ALL put in to give us a special gift!! Special shout-outs: Gina, Marie, Katie, Rhonda, and Patty!!
My husband and I had a very good experience with Dr. K. He was informative and always upfront. We had gone to Dr. Russell without success, and an awful experience. The doctors here are wonderful as is all the support staff!
I would have had an easier time getting between a pit bull and raw steak than I did in trying to get in touch with Dr. Kovalevsky through his patient coordinator. The last straw was when I contacted them for help with ongoing irregular menstrual bleeding, and was told to come in to have my progesterone/estrodial levels checked to see if I could get Provera, which has worked wonderfully for me for 18 years. I did go in for that, but because I didn't have the 3 hours to sit in a lab to get another test previously ordered completed, Dr, K would not help and I was only offered BCP's, which my body does not tolerate well. My only other option was to wait 5 days and drive over an hour away to his Newark office to see him, to get PROVERA. A 60 minute drive for a drug I have taken effectively for 18 years, that is routinely prescribed to PCOS patients! If they had told me this before driving 30 minutes to get the p/e bloodwork done, I would have saved my gas & time. When I contacted his PC and told her that I am feeling very unwell and still spotting on the BCP's, I was emailed a very curt reply that all of my tests will have to be redone because of the time lapse of my appointments. I was busy trying to lose the weight that Dr. Kovalevsky told me I needed to lose, and that he very coldly informed me was likely the reason I had complications during my last pregnancy (which he had no part in helping with or any other knowledge thereof, and a problem that affects pregnancies of women of ALL weight ranges). I'm very sorry that my insurance ever paid a dime to these people.
I had a very poor experience with Dr. Kovalevsky and RA. Right off that bat, Dr Kovalevsky treated me very dismissively due to being overweight and told me they would not treat me until I lost weight. However, they were quick to schedule several expensive tests in the meantime that cost my insurance thousands. I lost 40 lbs and completed all tests but one set of bloodwork, which I could not do because it would require me to be at the lab for 3 hours, with no one to watch my son. I contacted RA's patient coordinator Gina 2 weeks ago asking if Dr. K could prescribe me Provera for irregular bleeding. I was told to come in for BW to check my prog/estr levels before he could do that, but was misled, because they never intended to prescribe it without me getting the 3 hour test done, which had zero to do w/it. So instead, I was forced to choose between BCP's which I told them make me very ill, or non-stop bleeding. Will now choose to drive 2 hours to my prior dr rather than deal w/ RA again!
I had no success with that doctor, even though he was very nice but did not provide me with all information. Absolutely mistreated my case with all info they had. I had complications but got same treatment as others, felt like I was only statistic number
After an awful experience at Dr. Russells'office, I transferred to Dr. Kovealesvsky at reproductive associates of Delaware. You may know of a few more doctors there such as Dr. Feinberg. The wait was extremely long for my initial consult however it was well worth it. Dr. Kolvelvsky and his staff (re: AMY) were very thorrough. They mentioned options to me that were never offered at my previous doctors office such as Lap surgery to determine your cause for infertility and to clean up any conditions that might exisist such as scar tissues, cyst etc... I personally know of five success stories resulting in healthy pregnancies that were all full term and they all came from this office! I encourage anyone to give them a try if you are in the state of Delaware!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
