List of Kennedy Yalamanchili's Reviews
Dr. Yalamanchili has operated on my spine 4x. I consider him the best and have recommended him to many. BTW nurses in the ER @ CHS told me they hope he is on call when a serious brain injury arrives. I've been his patient for 20+ years.
He performed 2 surgeries for me last year. I highly recommend him
I contacted Dr. Yalamanchili because he did my Moms and my cousins surgery. I made contact with them in February . I had my records faxed to his office three times, because they “didn’t receive them” even though I told them the date and time they were faxed. For the past 14 years, I have recommended him to many people, even though his staff was incompetent back then. Today, a person in his incompetent staff, Emily ( the same one that couldn’t manage a fax) left me a VOICEMAIL telling me that Yalamanchili refused to see me because it would be a third opinion. I had a cervical fusion in 2017, and this is a new issue with my neck. I wanted a SECOND opinion from him because he was the best, and I say that choking right now. Never in my life would I have thought a doctor would be so pompous!!!
My spouse suffered from a severe ruptured aneurysm and was taken to Christiana Hospital where Dr Yalamanchili was the neurosurgeon on call. I was out of town at the time of the incident and was desperately trying to get home because of the severity of the issue. Dr. Yalamanchili told me - on the phone - that I should hurry because it’s unlikely that my husband would be alive when I got to the hospital. And their “care plan” was to “keep him comfortable,” basically on fentanyl until he died. Fortunately, a neurosurgeon friend recommended that I get my husband from this hospital. We immediately transferred my husband to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center where they performed surgery and my husband is still alive - now five years later. This experience leaves me with very little faith in the doctors (in neurosurgery?) and care at Christiana Hospital!

Dr. Yalamanchili is the BEST Neurosurgeon in the country. He did both of back surgeries, Brain surgery (Chiari Malformation) and he's doing my Ulnar Nerve Surgery really soon. He's the best at what he does. I don't trust anyone else. I recommend him to everyone that needs a neurosurgeon. I been his patient for over 10 years now.
Dr. Yalamanchili performed a cervical laminoplasty on me and I would recommend him. Like others have stated, he can come across as rushed/short/straight to the point during the consult appointment. I believe that is the office enviroment because I always felt rushed at every appointment I had at the office, even with the physician assistants. However, on surgery day, he and his team were the complete opposite of that. I would trust him 100% if I needed a neurosurgeon again. His PAs and the office staff are also great. Only complaint I would have about is you can not ever call in and speak to someone at the office. You have to leave a message and someone does get back to you, but it may be a couple of days.
My appt. was scheduled for 7:00 am. Dr. Yalamanchili, didn't come into see until 7:43 am. He didn't apologize for being late, he didn't physically check my spine ( the reason for my appt.) he only checked the reflexes on both knees. He quickly explained what he seen on the cd that I brought with me, I didn't feel any warmth or care grom him, his whole discussion was matter of fact and routine. He only spent about 5-7 min with me when he had me waiting for nearly 45 min. My conclusion is if he rushed through the appt. he'll rush through surgery. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Kennedy Yalamanchili is an excellent physician and a outstanding surgeon. He is very easy to talk to and to get advice from to understand the issue and how to best treat it. I feel very lucky and thankful to be his patient and having him as a surgeon for my Subdural Hematoma. I highly recommend him!
He did my husband surgery and did a beautiful job

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
