First and last appointment. Will never go back. Assembly line care. No one, including the physician introduced themselves. Staff and physician, alike, were rude, brusque and seemingly unaware that they are providing care for other human beings! Incompetent as well. Had transferred records from another State. Never reviewed by this provider or staff. The technician thought that my husband was wearing contact lenses, when in fact, he had undergone previous cataract surgery.

First his tech put drops in my eyes and dropped them all over my face. Asked why I did not bring glasses, I was told not to and she was rude about it. If the tech is an indicator of surgeon, I’ll need a second opinion. Been going here 8 years, never ever had an issues. Worn glasses since I was 3, never treated this poorly in my life.

I had lasik 20 yrs before I had cataract removal. He told me I would need glasses, I said OK as long as I can see with the glasses, I received the wrong prescription because techs do the refraction, not the Dr. I told him I couldn’t see with that prescription, no response. I spent hundreds on glasses. Had to go to another Dr. and received a totally different one. Wrote him two letters to tell him what happened. No response. I will never have my other eye done.

Dr. Nelson told me I would need glasses after cataract surgery because I had lasik years ago, but that I would see fine with glasses. I cannot see in my right eye even with glasses and I cannot read at all with corrective glasses in my right eye. I will never get the cataract removed from my left eye because I will never be able to read again. He never mentioned anything about having an unsatisfactory result.

Dr. Belson is a wonderful doctor who really cares for his patients. Most doctors nowadays don't seem to pay much attention to their patients, but he does. I'd recommend him to anyone.
