List of Rachael Smith's Reviews
I was referred to this woman by three separate doctors. When I called to make an appointment I was informed that the doctor would review my records before she decided if she would treat me. FIVE WEEKS later, her office called and said she wanted even more information. Fortunately, I found another doctor and had already been given the first treatment I needed. I would NEVER recommend that anyone go to this practice. Contrary to what I assume this woman thinks, she is NOT the only pain management doctor in Delaware. I have already spoken to one of the three referring doctors and he was not happy.
Saw Dr. Smith, first time for EMG! Excellent young lady, very kind, patient, thorough and caring. Also, pain free EMG's, very pleased with entire office staff as well.
I have been a patient at both locations for many years. Dr. Smith has done my injections. I am very happy with the care and concerns she has for my overall health. Great office staff as well!
Have never had anything but positive interactions with both Dr. Smith and her office staff. I am sorry to see these low evaluations because they are the direct opposite of what I have experienced. Dr. Smith and her staff have been helpful and very supportive for me. Dr. Smith takes time and listens to what you have to say and then discusses options on which both of you decide a plan of action. I have recommended this practice to many and will continue to do so.
I had to see her because my regular physician in the practice had to leave early. She did not examine me and only came into the room to give me a prescription. I was told it'd be the same one my usual Dr gives me, but it was different and there was no explanation why. By the time I read the script, she was long gone. So before I left, I asked the receptionist what this medication was and why it was given to me. When the receptionist walked over to ask her about it, the whole waiting room heard her yelling at the receptionist saying "I gave him his medication. What more does he want from me?!" I left and never came back. I never filled the script she gave me either. I hope it was just a bad day, but either way, it was unprofessional and unnecessary.
I had an MRI which showed 2 herniated neck discs and severe pain in right arm and loss of use of my hand. She immediately zeroed in with electricity test and a type of ultra sound and diagnosed the pain was from a pinched ulnar nerve in my elbow and severe carpal tunnel. I was operated on and am recovering amazingly well. She is empathetic, listens to the patient even though her instincts are way ahead. She saved my arm, my dominant hand and my profession as an artist for 50 years.
Dr Rude, they do discriminate, I had to get my file from the, Dr Nathan didn't have any of his notes correct, my pain meds that he was informed of were not correct, he seemed to cater more towards others , you could hear him through the wall talking to another patient, he walked out on me didn't say anything, I sat there thinking he was coming back, after about 10 min, I asked the girl is he done, he was done didn't say thank you, kiss my ass or nothing just walked out and the appointment was over.
She is very unprofessional,
Does not listen to the patient,
Dr. Smith is patient and empathetic to the pain you are experiencing. When doing a procedure (I've had a variety performed by her) she explains everything she is doing. Her knowledge of other potential diagnosis outside her specialty is impressive as is the calm, smooth manner in which she speaks and conducts herself during procedures. There is one thing you should know, immediate treatment and pain relief should not be expected. You need to work in conjunction with pain management but she is quick to schedule injections whenever possible. I wouldn't trust anyone except Dr. Smith to insert a needle between my vertebrae!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
