My family member had to wait for Covid to end to make sure they were safe to go in for an appointment they are high risk. The appointment was scheduled for 2 months and the doctor canceled appointment without any reason. After reading about dr. Barrett online I would recommend avoiding him. He does not care about his patients

I have shown to 2 doctors but both of them didn’t do well for my eye But Dr Barrett is really good in his treatment and caring to his patients. Highly recommend.

Dr. Barrett was arrogant and cocky. Uninterested in questions and concerns of patient. Conveyed attitude that he is "God's gift to ophthalomology". Does not convey personality characteristics that he is empathetic or caring. Very poor communicator. Behaves like a robot.

Dr. Barrett performed my cataract surgery. The pre op and post op appointments were explained very well. My surgery was a success. I will most definitely have my second eye cataract surgery with Dr. Barrett.

Went to see Dr. Barrett about a month ago. He told me that I need cataract surgery. Was wonderful explaining everything that he would be doing for me. His office assistants were so wonderful to me. So happy that I choice him to do my surgery.

Dr. Barrett was thankfully on call and, more importantly, available to see me on a Saturday afternoon when I was facing a very frustrating eye ordeal. I had gotten debris in my eye which remained stuck under my eyelid causing my eye to tear and swell. Dr. Barrett was able to meet me in the office when I arrived back from my camping trip on a Saturday afternoon and fixed my problem. I am grateful for not having to wait it out until Monday or have to go to a medical aid unit (when it comes to eyes, I'd much rather go to the professionals). He might not have been the most explanatory throughout but I was already at my wits end when I got there so this may have been my sensitivity, but when all was said and done, he effectively solved my problem. So I'd rather have a doctor that can solve my problem and not be as explanatory than one who explains everything and doesnt necessarily execute. Also, he took the time to meet with me on a sat which was a lifesaver for me in the moment. Highly recommend.

My experience with Dr. Barrett has been a positive one from inception. And add to that his staff and associates who are equally in that very positive category. Cataract surgery both eyes excellent results. All follow up appointments were handled in the most professional , courteous and pleasant manner. I highly recommend Delaware Ophthalmology.
