List of James Fierro's Reviews
After five years, told I was not able to schedule appointment. The reason:. no insurance. Funny, I NEVER had insurance and was considered self pay. Humiliating experience. I hope that he understands that I'm worthy of medical care. No offer to at least refill my high pressure medicine. Great adherence to "do no harm."

Worse experience ever. Give your trust to an alternate doctor.
I called this practice 9 times over a 2 week period in an attempt to schedule a new patient visit (their website states they are accepting new patients). They NEVER answer the phone and half the time the call will not even connect. I left messages on 4 occasions and received a call back once at a time I was unavailable to take it with no message left. I have given up and will attempt to connect with a more responsive practice. Giving 2 stars with the benefit of the doubt that their actual medical care has to be somewhat better than the admin side of the business.
Dr. Fierro and his staff are very knowledgeable and understanding. Appointments do not feel rushed, and they take the time to listen.
I've read some bad reviews here and I felt that with each person's relationship with their doc is unique varies a lot. At first this doctor's office really connected to me but I was fooled. This place is setup like a nurse managed healthcare office. I personally have found the nurses to be good until they are not. Only ok for the healthy person. However if you have a cronic illness or are elderly this place is NOT for you. My mother had dimentia and while she was starting to deteriorate and they treated her in a repulsive way. They belittled, accused, disrespected, and ripped her dignity away. In the end they told us my mother (who had a disposition of an 8 year old) would need to see another doc. That was a blessing as our new doc put her on hospice immediately and she passed shortly after. The story is longer but I do advize: If you are older or have a cronic illness, you would be very wise to avoid this place. Their arrogance and lack of people skills (especially there office staff) will eventually clash with you. It's just a matter of time.
Horrible, horrible, horrible practice! If you advocate for your health, this doctor will terminate his dealings with you! The clerical staff are as rude as they come!
It took me two years to realize why Dr. Fierro is always accepting new patients, because some patients simply don’t stick with the practice, and leave, for a number of reasons. First of all, he runs his practice strictly like a business. Dr Fierro says hello to you when you first become a patient, and after that, you never interact with him again. Secondly, you wont get a warm and fuzzy feeling walking in there. The money meter starts running the second you walk in, and if your office visit goes beyond ten minutes, cha-Ching. Lastly, with the exception of the PA’s and NP’swho are fantastic and actually are the ones treating the patients, the rest of the staff is mediocre at best and in fact can be rude at times. I too have had some issues with things not being “coded correctly” when sent to insurance for approval or bills sent to me instead of insurance, ect. I’ve also considered finding another practice as well, but I like Michelle (NP) because she is thorough and very knowledgeable, which is why I’m still a patient.

I have been going to Dr. Fierro for over 20 yrs and would never thinking of going anywhere else. One time I went there not feeling well ,I know sooner was into my visit and Dr Fierro came in and said we're calling an ambulance you need to get to the hospital.Thank God I did because I need to have my gall bladder out, along with other complications, I am very grateful for his quick response.I see Sandy and wouldn't & won't see anyone else, we have a great relationship, and I feel comfortable talking to her about anything medical or personal, I can't say enough about her Thank you Sandy for being the wonderful person that you are.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
