My experience with Dr. Jeff Guarino is nothing but positive. He listens, explains and if he doesn't know he does the research. He responds very quickly to messages sent on the portal. He takes his time with all of his patients. I have never ever found him to be rude or unsympathetic.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Guarino for a number of years. He is an outstanding physician. In a time when a patient is prescribed medication by multiple specialists, Dr. Guarino is very knowledgeable about meds and will point out the negative effect a drug may have based on the patient's overall condition. Dr. G. returns calls and messages personally and promptly and not through an assistant. He is a doctor who demonstrates a sincere dedication to his patients and to the career he chose. We feel fortunate Dr. Guarino is our primary care doctor.

Dr. Guarino and his team made the last 15 months of my father's life as comfortable, safe, and clear-minded as anyone could have hoped for in spite of Alzheimer's disease. My sisters and I appreciated his direct, positive manner with Dad. Even when Dad was confused, Dr. Jeff found positive things to say and praised Dad for his efforts to keep moving and going to activities. Throughout several crises, Guarino was calm and steady with and for us, too. We trusted his judgment and counted on his candor. He was both friendly and firm in every encounter, whether it was a visit with Dad or an exchange of notes in the Christiana Care portal. We were lucky he was able to take Dad as a patient. Dr. Guarino is a 5-star MD in my book.

This physician, when asked about what he does if one of his patients is sick and you can't get an appointment answered ”I’m busy so maybe she should get another Dr. This is not only unprofessional but bordering on inhumane. The pt is 83ys old. Shame on you Dr. Guarino for your inability to act like a human being.
