Recently had knee injections with Dr Petty. My pain increased instead of decreased. I have had these injections many times before, but this time (my first with him) was different. I kept telling him it was different! However I found him to be less interested in why my pain was worse than he was in rushing me to a total knee. He even refused to order an MRI, or investigate further!

My experience with Dr. Petty was atrocious. I saw him in February 2020. He was dismissive and condescending and diagnosed me with bursitis in a five minute consultation. Turns out I have a complex torn meniscus, which he might have determined if he had bothered to order an x-ray or MRI and which is now unrepairable and might have been at the time, but who knows since he didn't bother to DO HIS JOB. Once I was able to see my primary physician in person, he ordered x-rays and an MRI. Have gone back to the Orthopedic Institute but not to see this fool.

He did a a TKR surgery tor me. His PA was very uncaring and Dr Petty did not even remember performing my surgery. Never saw my family anxiously waiting after surgery. Very uncaring.

When literally all his other doctors missed the problem, Dr. Petty found the infection in my father’s knee. His perseverance in discovering the underlying cause of pain and inflammation was remarkable given the easy dismissal we received from so many others. We cannot offer any higher recommendation. Dr. Petty is simply the best!

Dr Petty performed a hip replacement for me in April 2015. The result could not have been better! I have gone from quite a bit of pain to virtually none. My first thought on beginning even a short walk used to be " well it's going to hurt". Now it is as though there had never been a problem. Dr. Petty uses proven implants that have produced a good result many times in his practice. He did not explain recovery therapy at all but N. Fl mdc is professional and I had home visits 100 mi away.

Dr Petty is a good surgeon - as long as everything goes well. His happy patients - with no complications or problems - are very pleased. I had a hip replacement - he guaranteed I would recover quickly and would be pain free within weeks if not days. I had unusual complications afterwards with more pain than before the surgery that lasted months. He refused to help me. He said "My other patients are fine. There's nothing wrong with my surgery." I know of more than one other person who had the same experience - complications where he refused to help. Surgery is always risky - I did not expect it to be a trouble free experience. I didn't expect my surgeon to drop me when there were problems. I regret not having sought a second opinion beforehand because of this.
