Gary Sturn's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Sturn's for 11 years in Altamonte Springs. He is courteous , professional and always a pleasure to see. He has taken care of us through diabetes, heart related issues , immune disorders and last year COVID. We will miss him very much but a recent move and change of jobs has taken us out of Florida. We wish him everything good life has to offer !!

It has taken me several years to realize that some doctors treat the symptoms and not the source of the symptoms. Why I left to find another general practitioner was because of problems with the front desk. However, I have benefited from leaving because I found better care elsewhere. While some people might find this office suitable for their needs, it is not for me.

The front desk associate is extremely rude, disrespectful, incompetent, lazy and uncooperative. She refuses to do her job in assisting patients with their care, hangs up the phone and refuses to transfer the call to management. She also refused to give her name and no one else answers the phone so I am unable to ask for anyone else's assistance at that office. Horrible customer service and patient care. I would never recommend any patient, friend or family member to this practice.

I love Dr. Sturn and have been seeing him for years now. He is such a sweetheart and truly believes in your best interest. He offers appointments over video call which is perfect for any of your basic symptoms. And, often you can get in same or next day. He also calls your prescriptions in immediately after your appointment so you don't have to wait. If you're in need of a family practitioner, he is your guy. Very intelligent, gentle, and caring.

I called to schedule an annual check up as a new patient. They offered an appointment with Dr. Stephen Sturn in 2 days and I was a bit concerned as every other doctor that I had tried was scheduling 2 - 6 months out for new patients but thought maybe he's organized and gets new patients in fast. They called a day later and left a message that said confirming the new patient annual check up online telehealth appointment for tomorrow. I did not schedule an online telehealth visit and the patient ally website confirmed it was in-office visit. The phone rang and rang, and then a message said VM is not set up. I had to repeatedly call until I finally got someone to pick up. I told her I wanted to cancel the telehealth and needed to see the doctor in person for a full medical check up including having the doctor examine me, listen to my heart and lungs, and blood work etc. She sounded annoyed and said ok, ok, ok. She didn't ask me to reschedule for in person. Just terrible.

Dr Sturn has been our family physician for many years and has always giving us great care as well as the staff.

Dr. Sturn is a wonderful doctor who has surrounded himself with the most horrible and obnoxious receptionists and/or office workers. I'll never understand why such a bright and kind doctor would choose to work with pit bulls instead of professionals. They are rude and aggressive over the phone and have not a semblance of civility. The worst is Debra. She is an absolute professional illiterate who slams down phone, squabbles, and screams. I'm leaving the doctor after many years because his choice of workers reflects (in my mind) how much value he places on his patients - which to me, is none.

Spends appropriate time with patients, explained everything in understandable terms.

Awesome staff and wonderful Dr. Never a problem getting an appointment.
