Complete Thyroidectomy June 1st, 2014 done exceptionally well! Wonderful office staff, never had a scar. Uses a unique technique that didn't even keloid after. Still no issues nearly 7 years later!

I am impressed with the attention and care that I received from Dr. Rosado and his team. Starting with Vivian, his office assistant. She was the kindest most caring assistant I have ever encountered. Then on to Dr. Rosado who explained everything down to positives and negatives and all the in-between. He was very professional. The procedure was done at Advent Health in Altamonte and they exceeded my expectations as well. Once I was out of surgery, and I looked at my scar, it was incredibly thin and looked like a scratch that match my skin fold. 2 weeks later it doesn't look like I had surgery. I am very happy with the results. No changes to my voice!

I am 3 days post op total thyroidectomy, and my voice has not been affected. Also my sore throat is gone and I’m healing pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rosado and his team.

Dr. Rosado performed a total thyroidectomy for me on February 14, 2020. In the time since the surgery was completed, I have had no complications. I have not had to take any pain medications after the surgery. My voice was not impacted by the surgery. I can highly recommend Dr. Rosado for his patience, professionalism, kindness and ability.

Summary: Rude and shaming staff. When you have a serious illness, you need not just a good surgeon, but courteous and caring staff. I had a bad experience with this office that left me devastated and it the problem was due to their poor management and bad attitude. What happened: Dr. Rosado came highly recommended by another doctor in the Orlando area. I live 1500 miles away but I have close family in Orlando who wanted to care for me after the surgery and they urged me to have the surgery done there. I called my medical insurer who said that Dr. Rosado was IN network for my insurance because I have a special kind of insurance that covers a wide range of doctors out of state. So I called his office to make an initial consultation with him, explaining my situation. I had been seeing an endocrinology group at a teaching hospital who had extensive medical records on my condition and who recommended the surgery. The staff person from Dr. Rosado's office who gave me the appointment did not ask for the records which was odd, but I assumed his office would contact me to prepare for the visit. It was after all during the last two weeks of December so perhaps people were away. However they did not contact me in the following weeks. So I called them the week before my visit and told them that I thought they would need my medical records. It seemed that no one there knew anything. I asked the staff person to please have someone contact me with a method for sending them my records before my appointment. Finally two days before I was supposed to fly there, a woman called me in the afternoon who said she was his assistant. She did not acknowledge my previous calls, was stern and cold, and she warned me that I had to get my insurance card and the medical records to him before the appointment if I wanted to see him. I told her I could not do it that very day but for sure would send everything the next day. Her tone was harsh and shaming. The next day I sent the records and the insurance card. I have a record of the email I sent which I later showed her. The next morning I got up at 4 am and flew 3 hours to Orlando, and drove with my family to the doctor's office. When I arrived for the appointment, this woman had canceled my appointment without notifying and without letting me know she had not received my email. She later said they were too busy to be bothered dealing with me. Interestingly, the whole time I was there there were no other people in the waiting room. I have never been to a doctors office that was empty. The assistant came out with a stern and scolding face telling me that she never received the records so she was not about to honor the appointment. I showed my email to her, time stamped with subject "medical records" but she insisted she never got it. She was stern and shaming when I reiterated that I had flown there and would not be able to just reschedule. Then she said, we can't give you an appointment unless we have checked your insurance. Ah, so that is what this was all about. She thought that perhaps I was someone who was trying to get away with free care? She was rude, shaming, cruel. I said, I have my insurance card with me. She was cold and harsh. She came back and said my insurance would not cover it. I explained that when the doctor is out of state, it takes some effort to check the insurance properly. She did not care. She just stared at me with cold eyes. When she said that she had just canceled my appointment when she didn't get my email I was surprised. Why didn't she just pick ups the phone and call me? She knew I was flying there from 1500 miles away! Well in the end I found a much more experienced doctor with an office that is much more organized and takes responsibility for their own failings when things go wrong. I don't fault their office for failing to talk to each other and to me in advance. I fault them for assuming the fault was mine or perhaps they just don't care about patients.

This is such wonderful Dr. I'd recommend him always.

Poor beside manners. Forked tongue. Speaks as if a primary Dr on your behalf without your consent to hospital staff He is Patient selective. As in tu habla eapanol. Tu mucho bien & tu no tengo problemos If you don't speak spanish bring a friend who does, because if you dont, no matter how sick you are you will be treated like garbage. Had thyroid surgery in late November. Just went for one month follow up. Scar looks good though still have pain at site. Now having neck and shoulder pain/stiffness that was not there prior to procedure. Second day after surgery I had the worst neck/shoulder pain of my life. It subsided a bit as the days went on, but it is now back interrupting my daily life. Spoke with Dr. Rosado about this as it seems it is related to positioning during surgery. I am told to go see my primary. I have zero history of bulging disc etc. No action taken to help me, just brushed off to see someone else. Very disappointed, as the neck and shoulder soreness play a big role in my daily life and appear to be the result of positioning during surgery. Dr. Rosado was very friendly all the way through the process, but quick to brush me aside once he completed the procedure. For that reason I would not recommend him. Poor bedside manner/follow up once he's been paid.
