Priya Patel's Online Review Report Card

I called many times and always being a caller number one in the queue for more than 15 to 25 minutes and no one has answered. Not sure how is she managing the doctor's office when a patient is trying to reach her on phone. This is a bad experience I am having to share with you all. She should consider improving a better service if her people are busy with somewhere else. Very poor rating from my side. I didn't talk to the doctor yet. So, I have no rating for the doctor.

Dr. Patel performed my laparoscopic surgery to remove multiple fibroids and stage 4 endometriosis which had spread all over my pelvis. She is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, kind and professional. She has truly given me my life and health back, and I am eternally grateful to her and her entire team. She is extremely busy and there are huge demands placed upon health care professionals, patience is necessary.

I was referred by my specialist to dr. Patel and wanted to see her because I heard good things about her. However, her office rejected my referral and when I called their office, the receptionist told me that because I have seen another gynecologist she won’t be able to see me and my referral has cancelled. She also told me I should go back to my other specialist and get a letter of referral again. I was also told by her that if my referral get accepted the waiting list is 2 years! And if I would need any surgery or further treatment the waiting for that is about 5 years! Are you freaking kidding me!? This is ridiculous. I don’t understand it why they make it sound so complicated, as if she is the only one doctor in her field and no one can do her job! Seriously, I think Alberta health should look into this and should provide some kind of explanation to patients who are suffering from severe illness and yet has to go through more suffering to wait for even a basic consultation. Not even to get a surgery or anything but just to see this doctor. I don’t know if all this sounds normal to some people but for me I can’t even believe it.

Dr. Priya Patel has been my Obgyne since my first pregnancy. I had been with her since 2015. Their wait time is a bit long but, It's worth it once you've seen her. I admire her on how she listens and cares throughout my pregnancy. I would highly recommended her to any pregnant women out there! Thank you so much Dr. Patel.

I consider myself very lucky to have a doctor who is not only very familiar with woman's diseases but who is also caring! Dr. Patel gave me my life back after most of my adult life was consumed with Level 4 endometriosis issues.

Great doctor she cares about her patients and goes the extra mile to treat her patients with compassion and is very professional.

Luckily I got Dr Priya for my both pregnancies. Both were emergency csections and she did the 2nd one. I noticed big difference this time, because I am feeling like getting recovered pretty soon than the previous. She has miracle hands which performed everything really well. I didn't expect that she will be there for my surgery because it happened before the scheduled time, but I was lucky to have her. She always make sure her patients keep comfortable and pain free. Reassurance and caring are excellent. Always welcome us with a nice smile and greeting. She solved all my pregnancy discomforts. really appreciated all her efforts and caring during my journey. Also the RN working in her office is one of the nicest nurse I ever had. Very kind and caring soul who is really compatible to work with Dr Priya . Those were very pleasant experiences which I had during past few months. Thanks for all staff who worked with Dr and special thanks for the operation room staff who made me laugh and comfortable in that emergency stressful situation. I was lucky to have your help and really appreciated everything ❤️ 💖

Excellent dr. Knowledgeable and caring for her patients. She does deliver her own patients during the day so you may be delayed in you appointment in the office but they will usually let you know plus it’s nice to have your dr deliver your baby if she can

If I could give her no stars I would. If you can avoid her and see a different doctor please do as she never comes to her office , never calls back she basically neglects her patients. The staff are rude and have a new excuse every time you call as to why they haven’t called you back or why Dr.Patel is never in office. She botched my last survey and never took responsibility for it and 2 years later I’m dealing with issues from that surgery, once again Dr.Patel is avoiding me so she doesn’t haven’t to take any sort of responsibility. When you call you’re waiting for almost an hour just to get through to someone only for them to tell you that no one is in the office today and you will get a call back which you never will. Avoid this clinic at all costs!!

Unfortunately I wasn’t lucky to have Dr.Patel throughout my pregnancies but she is a miracle and a godsend for me . I was lucky to cross her path twice in the midst of my circumstances at last minute . Both times were emergency csections, she did everything she possibly could , and had reassured me throughout my processes . She delivered my 26 weeker as safely as possible , and stayed with me for awhile after and made sure I was well taken care of , again last minute she delivered my 32 weeker stillborn and treated me again with compassion and assured me again throughout the process . An amazing lady when I needed her the most in these circumstances. To this day I would recommend anyone to see her if they could & the scarring from both csections is not noticeable at all.
