List of Ross Parks's Reviews
The office staff was very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor answered my questions and was very knowledgeable.
Less then 2 years ago I went to Dr Parks after seeing 2 other Dr’s. He was confident my vision would be improved .He said I “might” need cheaters for reading, but distance would be good. Sounded GREAT. Surgery day, minutes away from surgery room and after a ton of eye drops, Parks said he might be able to get me near 20/25 vision. Still a major improvement, although thinking later, it felt like he knew all along. Bottom line is surgery did not go well. Ended up with EVERYTHING BLURRY, ESPECIALLY DISTANCE. Nighttime starburst of lights dominates my eyesight. IT’S DEVASTATING . Vision in that eye has deteriorated. Reading through glasses with my “repaired eye” closed. Completely blurry . He actually wanted to send me to someone else because he could not help anymore. Wife was there for every exam... my confirmation. So let me say in finishing, this rating system means close to NOTHING.
Dr. Parks is the epitome of professionalism; at the same time he is cordial and shows concern for his patients. He is the best Opthalmologist we have ever had.
Dr Parks is a great doctor. Unfortunately I have been calling past 5 weeks +. Never received a return call, even called answering service and left my message with them. Finally after leaving a derogatory message someone called back. They wanted to give me an appointment in August. I asked them to have Dr Parks to call me. Let’s see if they give him the message.
Terrible r. Poor results after. I am very unhappy, and must use another surgeon to correct my vision
Terrible results after surgery. This Dr was uncaring and not interested in helping me .
Dr parks is not the caring dr I am reading about in these reviews, nor is his office wait time short, as I am reading about in the reviews on this site, which I find outrageous. He dismissed all of issues I had after the lens excange surgery he performed, and was not in the least interested helping find a solution. Dr Parks told me to find another doctor. Retire Dr Parks, you should not be performing surgery.
I had lasik eye surgery with Dr. Parks in 2006. It was an excellent experience. Appreciated the personal attention. I tried another lasik surgeon in Orlando (one who advertises a great deal). That office was like a factory with an assembly line. It was clear I wasn't going to meet the surgeon until the moment of surgery. Not true with Dr. Parks. He personally met with me for the consult and treated me for dry eyes prior to surgery to ensure the best result. Still happy 10 years later!
I had Lasik surgery on 1/25/07 to correct a lifetime of myopia and astigmatism. I have worn glasses since fourth grade, could not see the big 'E' on the Snellen eye chart. My vision could only be corrected to 20/40 with toric (for astigmatism) contacts. I could not be more pleased with my results. The screening process that I underwent before my surgery was extensive and extremely thorough. This was to ensure that I was a good candidate for Lasik, and to ensure a good result. The morning after my surgery (and my surgery was late in the day, at 4:15 p.m.), I was seeing well enough to drive myself to my follow-up appointment. I opted for monovision (one eye for reading and one for distance) and am now seeing 20/25, which is far better than I was seeing with my contacts. I highly recommend Dr. Parks and his wonderful staff. It's thrilling for someone who has suffered from extreme myopia for over fifty years to be able to see, read, and not have to use spectacles or contacts to do so. As a lifelong voracious reader, my eyes used to be so tired by the end of the day, and it is absolutely a gift to be able to read at length without eye fatigue. Thanks to Dr. Parks. my quality of life has greatly improved and I am so grateful to him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
