If you are going to go to Winter Park, Dr. Patel for a medical marijuana, I would suggest calling another Doctor. He is scamming patients, not telling them that his recommendations are for two months. All the other MMJ Doctors write it for 7 months. If you want flower, it's another 50 dollars. None of the other Doctors do this, I really wished the state would regulate this because he would lose his license for overcharging. I guess being in Winter Park he feels they have the money, I don't and wished I would have saved money by not choosing him. Scam!
Appointments mean nothing at this office. The past 3 times I have waited over an hour past my appointment time. DR. Patel is very sweet and personable, but if you are a busy person who works and need a doctor who's efficient, then don't go here. This will be my last appointment.
Best Doc ever. If you want a doctor that will use her expertise to help you understand your body and health? This is her. She won't just write you a script because you say you have all the symptoms you read on webMD, and she pushes you to take steps to get healthy so you don't have to depend on drugs. I absolutely love her and her method.
Lori at reception is awesome. Probably the most efficient, competent medical receptionist out there. She does the job of two possibly three people effectively. She's probably be better paid elsewhere. The nurse, I don't know this woman's name because she's never been so pleasant as to introduce herself. In fact, she's never been pleasant at all, ever. The reason I'm writing this review is as follows. I went in today to get my lab results following a physical. The nurse is sitting in the reception seat. I said Hi. She didn't look up from her phone for a full 10 seconds and then said Yes? In a not so friendly tone. I said I'm here for an appt/lab follow up? She had already looked back down to her cell phone and continued to let me speak to the part in her hair. She's not here she mumbled, never looking up. I said You guys sent me an appointment reminder? Still not looking up she said slower as if I was totally interrupting the season finale of Scandal, she's... not... here... Granted, I can get my days mixed up. But in my defense, I work 6-7 days a week, and sometimes go 3-4 weeks without a day off, it happens. Today is my first day off in who knows how long and I have to go get lab results that they can't share with me any other way than another expensive office visit. Well met. I was a day early, my fault. But what a rude face to sit at the reception of your business in your absence. I'll get my lab results from Dr I went to medical school because my parents made me and now I hate my job, but I won't be back.
Worst experience in a doctors office ever. I would never recommend for someone to go here. I'm new to the state and needed a new primary Doctor. I called mid December and was told since I was a new patient I would need to come in for a physical, could not get an appointment till February second. Took it thinking that how booked they were was a good sign. I got there today a few minutes late, I am new to the area and had trouble finding it. The receptionist did not greet me in any way other than a dirty look and a lesson about why being on time is important. She then gave me a few forms and told me to go fill them out fast, and repeated to me,to do so fast. Next was when the nurse usually comes out and calls your name, walks you to the room and asks you how you are. Well this nurse opened the door and waved her hand for me to come in, and pointed to what room she wanted me to go in, no eye contact no greeting. The whole experience was getting very uncomfortable and all I could think about was god I hope this doctor is great because this is horrible. Well it turned out that I didn't have to have a physical in order to start seeing her, and the issue I wanted to address she couldn't help me with till she saw my imaging from a doctors office in my previous state. After a few words she sent me out to talk to the rude receptionist and said she would see me next time or later..... What? That was it!? The receptionist asked me where to get the records from, I told her, repeated myself, and she handed me her paper and said well you can fill this out so I know where I'm requesting from. She also said there was an issue with my insurance and handed me a number to call, asked me if I'm going to call them and get it settled. I walked out and will never go back. I have never in my life been spoken to or treated the way I was in this "doctors office". The building itself was old, smelly, and not what I would expect from a healthcare facility. I had a bad feeling the moment I walked in. Very glad I didn't have any testing or examining done here, did not appear sanitary!
Great Doctor and staff. She addressed all my concerns without me feeling rushed at all. I felt so comfortable speaking to her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
