My son checked in at 6:pm to the ER in pain. Someone told my son they will come out to the front of the building to call your name. We sat in the front of the building, in the benches near the entrance. I left my son there for a short period of 30mins. He patiently waited. He complained no one called his name. Around 8: pm I asked the triage worker do they come out to the front to reconfirm what my son was told. She told me yes. At this time no one told me that he was called. As soon as it was too cold to bare, we moved inside on the far end of the lobby. There was a piece of plastic wall, separating patients. We sat behind this wall. Again we patiently waited. 11:pm my son went to the Triage to find out how much longer because he wanted to go home. He was told they called him at 7 PM. Upset and disappointed he sat back down explaining to me that someone said he was called already. We didn’t go anywhere, he’s been here the whole time, so when did someone call him. 11:40pm Upset I went to the triage to find out how much longer will it be because at this time my son is upset and wants to go home. I was told to speak with the triage nurse.. The triage nurse was unapologetic and not personable.. I explain to her we’ve been here the whole time. And obviously someone soft-spoken because we did not hear anyone call his name. She replied his name was removed and it has not been put it back in the system since we left. I’ve told her he hasn’t left and we did not hear no one call. At 11:pm he checked with triage and they did not still put his name back in the list to be called, so we wasted another 40 minutes sitting for nothing. The triage nurse was very arrogant, and rude to not even apologetic. We were sent back to the lobby to wait. It didn’t take us that long after to be called, however it was another woman sitting in the far end of lobby with us and someone remove her name as well. I believe where the plastic wall, maybe it restricted sound however they should walk around and call names, or send text messages, or get a megaphone, some system, to make sure people don’t miss out. At 7 PM the lobby was full so if they called us it was a full house to hear over.Once we were called in the back, we had an amazing doctor. The assisting nurse was very nice and she apologize for the wait. They trying to make my son comfortable and the doctor was very knowledgeable and detailed. He assisted my son with reducing the pain and diagnosing the issue quickly.However when leaving the hospital the lady that had been waiting with us earlier, was still in the lobby waiting to be called 1:40 AM in the morning.

I'd meant to write this appreciation message to the remarkable OR team at Altamonte Hospital who had helped saving me during C-section complications in Aug 2021, but I haven't gotten around to it until now.A number of unforeseeable life threatening complications occurred during the emergency C-section after I failed vaginal delivery, and I was very fortunate that Dr. Boulting, an excellent surgeon, happened to be there on that day along with a team of other skillful surgeons such as Dr.Thomas Cangiano - an Urologist , Dr. Deangelis DO, hospital obstetricians, Jasmine Swakider-MD, Anesthesiologists, nurses and others from the Altamonte Hospital, that saved my life.I want to thank all of you, even if I wasn't able to remember all of your names in theoperating room at that time, and I'm so sorry if your names are not all listed here. You guys did a phenomenal job to keep me alive during those rare complications.Most of all, I'd like to express my personal gratitude to Dr. Boulting for delivering my "PERFECT" baby boy and saving me. I owe Dr. Boulting my life and will never forget this.

Very rude. Talking over me while I was trying to explain my sons’s kidney problems. He threw up in the waiting area & no one jumped to help me they just looked at me, I ended up using a box of tissues off their desk to wipe my hands. F this place. My mom has worked in AdventHealth basically my entire life I’ve always stood by Advent but after this experience I don’t know anymore….

So grateful for the care my husband is getting at this hospital. The staff is very professional and organized in patient care. They have helped us navigate through a rough situation and we are forever grateful for everything they have done.

Advent Health killed my mother October 22nd! They kept her o2 so low for 5 days, they caused her pneumonia and death

I have billing questions and every time I call, I am hung up on or transferred and disconnected.

Do NOT under ANY circumstance turn to this hospital for ANY type of medical treatment.We left under AMA discharge which is a joke because exactly ZERO medical advice was given. They wanted to make sure they covered their butts from legal risk of their blatant neglect.You would likely receive a higher standard of medical care at your local McDonald's drive through.Background:My wife was transferred to Advent Health Altamonte Springs around midnight on 11-2 from Oveido ER.She had called for an Ambulance after being extremely weak, lethargic, semi conscious, inability to communicate coherently, blood pressure spiking and bottoming out, profuse sweating.Examples of exactly why you don't want to go HERE:1.) Blood tests were ordered upon arrival around midnight --- not until 7pm (19hrs later) --- did ANYONE realize that the blood had not been collected for the tests. "Normally they collect these around 4am"When attempting to draw blood nurse tried 3x and then said you must be dehydrated might need more fluid ---- she looked up realized that my wife was not on an IV and said she wasn't sure if she was supposed to be on an IV or not ---- ummmm if the nurse doesn't know who is supposed to?2.) At 7pm nurse change nurse handed us a paper and said "you probably already have 10 copies of this but here is another one --- we asked what it was as no one had given us ANY papers. She said oh it's your care plan --- I said great to see it after 19 hours and I pointed out that only 2 of the list of items were done.3.) She was to be wearing a heart monitor to rule out heart issue. It was removed for her to get an MRI ---- 4 hours later a staffer came to change the battery in the monitor ---- no one had put it back on my wife after her MRI. How do you monitor her heart without a heart monitor? And how does no one notice for 4 hours?4.) My wife has daily medicines that she MUST take in the morning. She started asking for it at 11am ---- at 5pm she still didn't have it --- we were told repeatedly it was a processing issue that it was finally added by Dr but since it was a morning med the computer set it to the following day. She ended up receiving only one of her two medicines- they said they were waiting for the pharmacy to send it up they didn't keep it on the floor. 8+ hours this went on. we literally had to LEAVE the hospital to get medicine --- how does that make any sense?5.) MRI at approx1130am echo around 4pm we asked for updates through the day got zero communication. It wasn't until AFTER we asked for AMA discharge at 8pm and the head nurse came in to try to get us to stay that suddenly the results appeared and showed nothing to be concerned with. ****just 10 minutes prior we had had been told by the regular nurse that no results yet.So not giving fluids, not monitoring the heart monitor, not dispensing meds, not drawing blood, not getting test results, no more than 7 total minutes combined of any Dr's time, no communication we had no reason to stay as it was clear that there was no medical care that was going to happen. It was very clear that this hospital where we needed to be.The people were friendly but the standard of care was the second worst I have ever experienced only to a hospital in West Chicago.

Advent Health killed my mother with their Covid protocols. My mother refused a medication on the protocol list and she was basically left to suffer with low oxygen for 5 days. By the time they finally got her the proper amount of oxygen 3L she had pneumonia and only 51% O2 in her bloodstream. She was put in ICU and we were forced into general inpatient care with hospice who basically lied about the process. My mother was treated like a dog being euthanized. The overdosed her on narcotics and took her oxygen away!!! I will continue to tell her story until there's justice!

Wife arrived Sunday night 9:15 pm via ambulance. Dr's ordered an MRI, she was admitted. Tuesday 4:30 pm, still no MRI. 7th floor nurse Misa was incredibly rude, and also failed to send proper charts to radiology. Also radiology will not answer phone.Wife self discharged. Will never go there again.

I would give this hospital zero stars if I could. They are the very worse. I go home from visiting my dad and he ends up in the ICU in terrible shape and no one can tell me what happened to him. Then he gets transferred out of the ICU and this nurse Kevin on the 4th floor starts using a sunction tube on my dad, telling my dad to cough loud. My dad was fine when he did this. He kept making my dad keep coughing. I notice my dad had his nutritional drink that he had just drank coming up and I told Kevin to stop. He continued sticking the suction tube in my dad's mouth and making him cough until he threw up. Then ICU had to be called and my dad was kept from eating several meals cause they did so many test on him. Kevin lied and said my dad choked. I was right there my dad gagged from Kevin putting that sunction tube down his throat and forcing him to keep coughing. Ofcourse the other nurses covered up for him. My father had an aspiration due to this and has gotten worse. BEWARE! They will coverup any wrongdoing. My dad is now dead as his lungs never recovered.
