List of Gerald Bahr's Reviews
This doctor is the best. He is a no nonsense professional. He has treated me over 16 years and has demonstrated the utmost care.
Dr. Bahr cared for me for nearly 30 years. He set the standard by which I’d measure any primary care physician. Though retired now, I still refer to him as my doctor. What a great listener. Sure he has a Joe Friday personality where he sticks to the facts but don’t let him find out that you’re not following his advice or didn’t follow up on a referral. And his staff in NY loved him. He’s the best.
I was Dr. Bahr's patient in New York for 15 years. He was the smartest, kindest, most knowledgable doctor in Lenox Hill. I was devastated when he moved. Dr. Bahr is one of a kind.
Dr Bahr don't listen to patients goes against patient decision refuse to go a alternate way to give a patient medication to be able to take pills at home instead go to a rehab facility to get the medication through i.v. Dr. Bahr will be sued
My husband went in to Celebration Hospital, and Dr. Bahr told him that he was too depressed, he looks too beet up, smokes and waited too long to get his Basil Cell Carcinoma taken care of. He refused to get him well! Told him to go find himself some help.
First class dirtbag!!!!
Dr Bahr is incredibly smart, experienced, caring. My husband and I trust him 100% on every level. Highest recommendation. We are lucky to have him.
Dr. Bahr is clinically competent, but he rushes through his exams. Expect 4 minutes - sometimes less - with him for a regular visit, about 10 minutes for an annual physical - I'm not kidding. Forget about trying to get him on the phone for a follow up question - he'll refuse. He can be arrogant and very impersonal - for the first several years, he kept calling me "Sir." After at least 10 visits, I feel like I should be called by my name. His secretary, Janet, is sometimes helpful, sometimes nasty. The office front-desk, which they share with other support staff, can be loud, vulgar and very unprofessional.
Extremely knowledgeable doctor. Thorough, experienced in every area. Diagnosis is always correct.
I've been a patient of Dr. Bahr's for about 15 years. He's attentive, thorough, a no-nonsense guy who has kept me healthy. He doesn't waste time, he sticks to the issues. He's sometimes a little hard to get on the phone, true, but keep trying. You'll get him. And his long-time secretary, Jeannette, is his right arm. She's also a no-nonsense person, but the salt of the earth who always comes through. Having the same doctor for a long time means getting used to his personality; he accepts you and you accept him and then you can work together on YOU. Dr. Bahr doesn't do the authoritarian/god bit. He doesn't push things on you. If you don't want to take a lot of medication, he'll work with you and figure out how to work on your problem another way.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
