Rodrigo Lago's Online Review Report Card

I had been patient there for almost 3 years . I use think a lot haley I thought she genuinely cared. I had confided in her with some very personal things, but I feel like I was not getting better. I was just getting a run around being told one minute I had congestive heart failure. The next time I was told I didn’t have it. I would have overload of fluid and end up hospitalized, I had to see another one of their nurse practitioners because everybody else was booked. She almost caused me my life. She gave me a pill to add to my Lasix. I only took two of them and ended up having to call 911 because my kidneys went into failure . I ended up 8 day hospital stay. Thank God for prayers God bring me through . My primary doctor told me that I had acute kidney failure after that pill. My blood pressure ended up bottoming out in my blood work was all over place . Thank God my kidney come back. A lot of people were praying after that I no longer wanted them to be my cardiologist .Because I told them what happened they made another scenario of something I didn’t do to discharge me as their patient. For spite, they flagged me.Which didn’t hurt my feeling any way. They weren’t giving me care I needed and just putting me in big circle. They flagged me to try to make it hard for me to find another doctor because they can see the flag, which is dirty of them. But thank God I found amazing doctor .first time seeing him he gave more information. that made since . I had shared hard things with Halle to have them turned on me. I’ve been through a lot last year . Management there cares nothing about patient it’s all about money. I called many times when I was in crisis and was treated badly as I was overacting . I have clotting disorder and had mini stroke before. They always treated me no respect . I would never go back after one there nurse practitioners almost caused me lose my kidney with the pills she gave me. If your looking for a good cardiologist. Look somewhere else. This is definitely not the place.it’s joke.

Dr. Do Lago is a really good doctor. The consults are short an to the point but he answers questions and explains everything. The office is disorganized, and it takes a long time do get anything done.

I went to this cardiologist as a recommendation from my doctor and I am not very impressed. I had to have a heart monitor ordered by his office and they didn’t even send the email to order it so it was delivered over a month late. I also had to have a heart echo done by his office and still have not received my results after a month of waiting. The staff is really nice over the phone, but they have not reached out at all and the office expects me to accommodate the doctor at all costs when I’m the only one who has gone out of my way to get things done. I will not be going back to him for any other issues. Update: I wanted to add to this review because this issue never was resolved. I am now leaving one star. They reached out and told me that because of my issues that I’ve been having I would not have to pay for my final consultation with the doctor. I would be receiving my results for my heart monitor and they would comp the fee. Once I was billed the first time for this I reached out to try and get this resolved. I have now been trying to fix the issue for months with no reply. I even left my number with one of their managers that was “busy” and said he would call back. I never received a call. I ended up paying my bill because it was sent to the collections office and I only had a certain amount of time to pay. If I had known I was going to have to pay for that last appointment I would have saved myself the 5 minute conversation and $160 and I would not have gone. All of that to say please do not use this cardiologist. It has been a huge hassle.

They don’t care about the patient’s health, they would call you to cancel your appointment if the insurance haven’t approved. Like they care more about getting paid than your health, doesn’t matter how ill the patient is. Very rude staff, Dr Do Lago is a gentleman but he has a bunch of unprofessional careless people working for him!

Dr Lago is an exceptional doctor. He carefully listens to my concerns, reviewed all the information from many different doctors then explains choices and his recommendation.

Dr. Do Lago was willing to spend a good deal of time discussing treatment options, risks/benefits for care. He has a very good bedside manner.

Life Saving Experience. Dr. Do Lago and I met for the first time during a recent emergency room visit. The look in his eye, and sincerity of his words gave me confidence and comfort that I was in good hands. Dr. Do Lago gave me his personal word he would be performing a medical procedure to determine the level of blockage in my heart arteries. He also told me he would correct and fix any problems he encountered. True to his word, I had 95% blockage of the LAD (widowmaker ), he stented me and saved my life in less than 30 minutes. Amazing, I feel great and so blessed. Very impressed and thankful for Dr. Do Lago's skill, demeanor and professional character.

I’m so glad Dr. Rodrigo Lago is my dad’s doctor. He spent all the time we needed asking questions. He can provide complex information in a manner that was easy to understand. He is the best!

A few months ago I was found to have tight valve in my heart. I was admitted to the hospital because I was very short of breath. The doctor told me I needed a valve replacement but I couldn't have surgery because the risk was too high. After a lot of research, we finally met with Dr. Lago (he was highly recommended by 2 doctors). He spent time with me and my wife to make sure we had all the info we needed and made sure we were comfortable with the procedure. I couldn't have wished for a better doctor. I was out of the hospital in 3 days after the procedure and I feel so much better now.

Dr. Lago is the BEST! He's the most caring and compassionate doctor. He goes over and above to make sure the family and patient understand the diagnosis and treatment. Best of all--he treats and my husband got better. He was amazing.
