I consider Dr. Wolfsen save my life from esophagus cancer by giving me Radio frequency ablation in 2008.

I have been seeing Dr. Wolfsen for the last 8-10 years. He and his staff are top notch. He has performed endoscopies and RFA ablation on me for Barrett's Esophagus.

Used a different gastroenterologist at Mayo before and Dr. Wolfson does not compare. Wolfson didn't want to take time to explain things or answer questions and was one of the least agreeable physicians I've ever dealt with. Directed to schedule another appointment with another physician at Mayo but did not explain what that appt was for. I found out it was with a surgeon by calling the scheduling dept.

Dr. Wolfsen is an expert in the management and treatment of Barrett's Esophagus. He utilizes cutting edge technology, RFA, cryo therapy, etc. and will explain all your options before scheduling a procedure. He is the best of the best. Brilliant doc. His support staff - from secretary to nurse are highly competent and compassionate as well.

Dr. Wolfsen, staff and everyone I've encountered at the Mayo Clinic were way beyond my expectations.Dr. Wolfsen spent enought time with me so that I understood exactly what Barrett's esophagus was and the detail of the stages. I learned so much from him and that made me feel relaxed comfortable.

I was sent to Dr. Wolfsen with supposedly several years to live for possibly throat cancer. After reviewing my other doctors information he told me "others see what you have maybe several times a year, I see what you have 5 or 6 times every day, you will probably die from some other problem before this will." Then he proceded to treat me and now I can look forward to a long life if I don't get hit by a car or something he and the entire staff especially Lois Hemminger are fantastic. You could not be in better hands than these people!!!!
