I moved from NJ and had a horrific pain in my shoulder. I started at an MDNOW and although they did their best, I was still in Pain. I got a next day appointment with Dr Abbasi where I was given an x-ray and a diagnosis was made. I was taken on time and everyone was respectful and empathetic to what I was going to. I entered the office in pain and left with the confidence that with physical therapy (which the Dr. suggested), I am on my way to a recovery.
I came to Dr. Abbasi for a right shoulder injury, that ended up requiring surgery. Dr. Abbasi took time with me to allay my fears, go over my MRI results, and explain the procedure in depth. I had the surgery 7 weeks ago, and my shoulder is better than ever. He really is a miracle worker!!! With the surgery and follow up physical therapy, I have almost achieved full range of motion back, and, more importantly, NO PAIN!!!! I am continuing with follow up care, and physical therapy, and I fully expect to have full ROM soon. Dr. Abbasi is professional, but very caring. He is forthright, detail oriented and very knowledgeable. He took the time to personally call my daughter after surgery to explain the outcome and offer post op instructions. I'm very grateful that I was led to Dr. Abbasi for my orthopedic care.
I went in for a knee injury, and I was using crutches to avoid walking on it because it was painful. He didn’t explain my diagnosis to me (I found out later by reading it off my physical therapy form) and made me feel like an idiot for being on crutches. He said there was “nothing wrong” with my knee, even though all my physical therapists pointed out how messed up my knee was the second they put their hands on it. He wasn’t necessarily rude, he just talked down to me and made me feel like I was crazy. Telling a patient who’s in serious pain that there’s nothing wrong, and then diagnosing them with patellofemoral tracking disorder without telling them, is awful bedside manner. I love the staff at OCPBC but definitely never seeing Abbasi again.
I first met Dr. Abbasi on Sept. 2020. I went in after experiencing some discomfort in my right shoulder. Dr. Abbasi decided to perform an x-ray. The x-ray came back with Calcified Tendonitis. After going over the x-ray, he recommended a cortisone shot. Trusting his expertise and following his advice, I agreed, he asked me to stand, and proceded to inject me through the back of my shoulder, it was very painful. Two days after the shot, I woke up in excruciating pain that now traveled down my arm, or up my neck and into my ear. I was nauseous and dizzy from the pain. Needless to say, my husband took me to the nearest Emergency room as I couldn't lift my right arm, and walking was a problem due to the shoulder pain. Everytime I took a step, I felt it in my right shoulder. The ER doctor prescribed percoset , and asked for me to contact my Orthopedic doctor immediately. That same day after being discharged, I called Dr. Abbasi's direct number...no answer, I must of left 4 to 5 messages urging someone to call me back. At 2:30 of that same day, I received a call back and they were able to fit me in at 3:30. When I was finally seen by Dr. Abbasi he seemed irritated. I expressed to him I had been calling since morning, and his nurse practitioner did not even return my calls, his response to that was "WEll YOU ARE HERE NOW"......He then proceeded to touch the area that was swollen, at which time I let out a loud scream as I couldn't take the pain. My arm as completely useless. He prescribed steroid pack by mouth, and more percoset (believe it or not). It was after I left his office, that I decided to look for a second opinion, as physical therapy was not making the spasms any better. I scheduled an appointment with another Orthopedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience, only to find out that Dr. Abbasi was supposed to use a sonogram machine to inject the cortisone shot, WHICH HE DID NOT USE., therefore pinching something and aggravating the situation. I have now endured another shot for inflammation due to the first shot that Dr. Abbasi administered. I highly respect physicians that love what they do, but I don't feel Dr. Abbasi thoroughly took care of my needs, and clearly made it worst with his lack of patience, and empathy. Please do your due diligence before you book an appointment. I wouldn't wish sleepless nights, lack of mobility, and countless visits to physical therapy because of a doctors negligence.
First time with Dr. Abbasi, and he was extremely knowledgeable about what was going on under the surface of my knee cap. He listened to what my concerns were, and explained the best way to treat the issues. I felt like I was in good hands, which is important when you are discussing the future of your mobility. I would recommend Dr. Abbasi, and will continue with him as my orthopedic physician.

Dr Abbasi is very professional, confident and fully explained what was needed to repair my damaged left shoulder. I like his no nonsense approach and the pride he showed in the results of his work after surgery!
We appreciate the care & concern from your staff/patient Cheria’s neg review @CelebraD hair. Chasiedy Utley is not an employee or does she have an affiliation w/our salon. She is the mother of a 14 year old pt. that you put a screw in her knee for a ACL repair, staph infection, the acl surgery took you 5 hrs because of complications during surgery you failed to inform the family about. After receiving a 2nd opinion your ACL graph was not attached. 14 yr old pt spent 6 wks w/a pic line & numerous surgeries to repair your mess. After researching it comes to our attention that infections are quit common in your surgeries, hence the reason your career wasn’t too Promising at Houston Memorial Herman Ironman. Most business owners are aware when we rec a neg. review we encourage the better pt./consumers to give our business a great review to offset the neg. Dr Abassi you should spend more time taking classes to lower your infection rate than asking pt. To write dishonest reviews!
I’m no longer local to where Dr. Abassi is and I dearly miss having him as my primary Ortho. He’s highly knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and worked to keep me active and find solutions to various injuries I incurred while training Jiu Jitsu. An absolute professional in every sense of the word.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
