List of James Clancy's Reviews
Caring and very knowledgeable Doctor. Fixed two of my foot problems. Office staff and MA are superb
Dr Clancy is a highly recommended podiatrist and surgeon. A year ago he took a foot with numerous problems and basically put it back together again. He was innovative and creative in what he did. His staff is ok, nothing special. My complaint comes from the last visit I had where he was deciding if it was appropriate to let me go and if the surgery was complete and worked. He stated all was as it should be and got up to wash his hands, preparatory to leaving. I then told him I was experiencing considerable pain on the top of my other foot and how and when the pain started. Without examining the foot in any way he ruminated for a minute or two and stated he didn’t know what was going on, sounded like it was my back and left the room. It wasn’t my back, it was a sprain caused by all the same issues as were found in the foot that had just had surgery. I was stunned that he took no time to figure out what the problem was, no suggestion that i make another appointment where he could take more time to figure it out. Just sent me on my way. So he did a good job on my right foot but shockingly bad in dealing with the second foot. I am now seeing a second podiatrist in another practice who does take the time to deal with it but to also assure that I understand the mechanics of why it happened and how to fix the problem before it gets any worse.
I met Dr. Clancy in 2017. He was highly recommended by another doctor. I was very apprehensive at first as Dr. Clancy tells you honestly what he thinks. He is a brilliant orthopedic surgeon and knows what his profession entails. He does his utmost to truly help his patients.
I would give no stars if I could. I had surgery on 2/22/22 with Dr Clancy on my left ankle. That went well so is not the issue. The serious issue is that weeks before surgery I let Dr. Clancy know that I had an infection on my fourth toe right foot and antibiotics were not working. They called me in and misdiagnosed as paranychia when it was osteomyelitis. ALL I needed was an MRI that was not granted and they would have most. likely seen the infection was still in the soft tissue and I would have had 2 weeks of IV antibiotic and that would have been the end to the problem. Friday before Tuesdays surgery my call to let them know I still had the infection was ignored....Monday before surgery called again and it was once again ignored and surgery was done while I still had the active infection on the right foot. He told me post surgery he was hesitant to do surgery with active infection. The doctor saw me post surgery and when leaving the room I asked him wait, what about my toe of which he looked at it very aloof and said just stay on the Keflex. Fast forward I did poorly on six weeks IV therapy for this osteomyelitis in the bone with toxicities including eosinophilic pneumonia from Cubicin, rashes from Telavancin, fever and body aches from Rocephin, and my heart racing from Levaquin after one dose. My toe will be amputated by the beginning of June 2022 after more antibiotics are given and because I haven't done well on the IVs I feel this will not go well for me and wanted to alert the public. This podiatrist as any other, should not choose just what they would like to do ie surgeries but when a patient has a serious infection they have a responsibility to treat that as "feet is what they do". Would totally not recommend this doctor I am sorry to report as there are more competent Doctors in the area.

It was a great relief that I didn’t need surgery. Dr Clancy was straightforward answered all my questions. The office staff was great. All n all it was very professional & comfortable
Great medical care. Highly recommend.
I’ve been going to Dr. Clancy for 25+ Years because he is the best! He’s honest, straight forward, and conservative with treatment which I appreciate. Dr Clancy shows sincere interest in the patient and takes time with each one to discuss treatment, care and options. When he recommends a treatment I know it’s the best advice. The office is very professional and very safe in the handling of covid protocol! I feel very comfortable going there. I highly recommend Dr. Clancy and his entire group because I know they are the best in the industry. Can’t recommend them enough!!
Dr Clancy is simply the best at what he does. He saw my daughter on short notice and quickly examined her and took X-rays. He noticed ligament damage and put her in a boot for a few weeks. Thanks your help Dr. Clancy!
Dr. Clancy did an amazing job of reassembling the jigsaw pieces of my shattered metatarsal. It was a nasty injury and he put it all back very nicely. He’ll always be my go-to for my not too infrequent foot injuries.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
