Natalie Sohn's Online Review Report Card

Called to schedule an appointment they had one available 5 days from now and I told them “let me call my boss to make sure and I’d call them right back.” Literally called 4 minutes later, the appointments gone and now I’d have to wait till the following week just to get seen. The front desk is quick to put you on hold, you can’t even get a word out before the phone cuts off and now I’m stuck trying to find a new obgyn because I don’t want to be in pain and uncomfortable for the next two weeks.

Don’t believe the negative reviews. Dr Sohn is amazing. I think people take her straight forward approach as rude. She is far from it and gave me her personal cell to be sure I was able to reach her at anytime. We are adults going to an OB-GYN, not children going to a chocolate factory. I'm not there for sugar coated talk. I went to her on a referral from my best friend after ovarian cancer. She took care of me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer while 7 months pregnant. She is a master of her craft. I recently visited for a colposcopy - she was legit a wizard. 2 mins, 3 biopsies taken, and I never felt any discomfort beyond the speculum. I highly recommend her and her amazing staff.

She refuses to take calls despite being the only on call dr. Confusing that an on call dr won’t take calls. She had the answering service tell me to take myself and my healthy newborn to the ER, so I could get amoxicillin for my sinus infection. The lack of care is astounding. And I’m no dr, but I know you don’t take newborns to get infested places. Bad medical advice.

Sohn is The worse, she doesn’t have bed side manners, no patience to consult. Office manager is a bouncer, yells and intimidates. Insufficient med supply during visits.

Although Dr Sohn is everything a woman looks for In a Doctor, the office manager is not doing her job in listening to her support staff. They claim she has been made aware of the non- working online appointment site over & over again & has done nothing to correct the site. Unaware of this, I used it to make appointment & was emailed 2 hours prior to appointment time that they don’t accept those appointment requests. ONLY phone appointment requests are valid. BEWARE. However, I was impressed with Dr Sohn & would highly recommend her.

Always a pleasure to see Dr. Sohn. She provides great communication and explanations for all my OB needs. Staff is always pleasant and welcoming.

Trying to speak to someone when you call is a huge hassle. You call and get put on hold for 20 minutes. The portal to send an email to the provider does not work either.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR, If you even want to call her a doctor. I went to this office based on a recommendation from Dr. KUSNICK from NYC> This doctor wrote me a script for a yearly Mammogram and sonogram, and bone density. I have a yearly check up, every year. SHE REQUESTED i needed a diagnostic, which i never had before, INSURANCE won't cover it. This doctor still NEVER GOT MY TEST results. almost a YEAR, and read them to me, I had to spend the last 3 hours on the phone with JfK Medical, and finally received my results which STATES I have to have medical care. This office hung up on me when i was upset with the way it was handled. IF YOU Want medical care, DO NOT GO HERE, I will be in contact with a medical mal practice lawyer next. STAY FAR FAR AWAY

This doctor has clearly unchecked biased against WoC. Dr Sohn called me obese, said I am diabetic, claimed “Spanish” girls aren’t FAT. I work out daily, eat vegan, not diabetic and AM NOT SPANISH. Her racism, ableism, and fat phobia was disgusting. She claimed she can’t be racist because 3/4 of SPANISH girls work in her office. She doesn’t know the different between race, a language, and ethnicity!!!!! I am not Spanish. I certainly was not born and raised in Spain/Europe, and I don’t identify as a language. Sohn also implied I got my anxiety meds off a bad doctor bc she claimed my psych was WRONG. A gyno practicing outside her scope telling people things about them leaves not even in the chart! And dared to ask me why I was anxious if everyone had a bad day! She triggered an anxiety attack. When I got up to leave, she CHASED ME asking me why I was hostile. A nurse put me in a room so she couldn’t harass me further! Sohn, I wasn’t hostile - I was in shock at the unprofessionalism, disrespect, and the blatant stereotypes and bias that you vomited at me even when I asked you to STOP. A doctor being so biased and all-knowing without knowing someone’s general history is dangerous, especially for WoC. Things like this is why Black and Native women have higher birth mortality rates and generally higher mortality rates overall- unchecked biases in the medical community, where being perceived as fat is more important rather than working with patients and checking their records OR listening to the patient and attending them for what they are there for. I went in for a heat rash under my breast and have now been left without a medical provider as Dr Sohn had me removed from the practice even AFTER I was changed to another provider in the same office and alerted them that the medication Sohn gave me had triggered hives and an allergic reaction. So now, I am without medication, dealing with a half treated issue, an allergic reaction, and no surgery consultation appointment next week which was to control my bleeding out due to birth complications. Why would she care though? In her make believe world, I’m just (according to her and medical records that don’t exist) an obese diabetic pointlessly anxious “Spanish” person that apparently didn’t deserve respect, professionalism, or the curtesy of being treated by another provider in the middle of my medical treatment.
