Dr. Marema is the best Dr. A true gentleman. If we fail such as I did after several years, we can't blame him for our doing, remember I don't call it a mistake not if you let yourself get back to square one. In my case I lived a stressed life with having to babysit a builder to built my house at a timely manner. In which it took over 2 years to build a 924 sf house. And another that stole money from me. As it is I'm experiencing plumbing problems, electric too and such. Now see why my surgery was a failure. For those seeking a Godly guided blessed hands during and after surgery, then don't let those negative reviews get to you, he's the best of best! But now I'm getting ready to see my beautiful awesome sweet Dr. Marema. I love you Mr. And Mrs Marema! They're the best hands down.Within the first 9 months of my surgery I lost 154lbs. From 354lbs But now I'm close to what I was originally. 343lbs. Pray for me as I pray over all these beautiful ppl that wrote these reviews. Blessings to all!

After a lifelong battle with obesity, Dr. Marema and his staff Have given me a new life. I am almost 70 years old now. Wish I could have done it sooner. Can't remember feeling this great. It's been over a year now and I am doing things I have never been able to. I wish I was wealthy enough to buy every one of them a great christmas gift. But I can a least share my review.

After breast cancer in 2013 until March of 2021, I gained over 100lbs. I tried all of the diets out there and little or no results. I found food to be my best friend. During the pandemic, I had enough time to think seriously about getting bariatric surgery. I researched the life changes I would have to commit to for the rest of my life. At this point, with all of my severe medical ailments, I chose to speak to my civilian Family Physician about my decision. I thank God she listened to me and considered I was a good candidate for the surgery. That's when I was referred to Dr Marema's office. Upon having my initial appointment with Dr Marema, I knew I had made the right decision. I could tell he knew what he was doing and the best in his field. There was not a single question not answered or evaded.I have had a few major surgeries but this is the only one I DID NOT experience pain!Not only is Dr Marema the best Bariatric Surgeon, his group of Nurses, Operating room personnel, Office workers, Dieticians are of the highest caliber in their profession. I had my operation in April of this year (2021). No complications. Of course, I have to follow advice and rules and be at every appointment.Do I recommend Dr. Marema? Absolutely!! I give him 10 out of 5 stars.

There aren’t enough words to describe the best Doctor in the world!

Do not use this Dr for surgery. He is not a caring person an after your surgery does not want to be bothered with you. I had surgery for six hernias.My stomach looks all deformed an when I confronted him he said I could get plastic surgery to fix what hehad done to me. He didn’t think it was a problem at all. DO NOT let this Doctor lay a hand on you!!!

Had my Surgery in February 2018, lost a total of 250lbs and have kept it off (currently November 2020). Dr. Marema and team are excellent at their jobs, helpful with the 44,000 random questions that would occur both before and after surgery.

Dr Marema was awesome! I had to have my gallbladder taken out. He explained everything that was going to happened. He has a kind mannerism and made me feel that he cared and wasn't just another patient. Everything went as expected. He id a great job! He has a really great sense of humor that helped put me are ease. Highly recommended him!

Dr. Marema performed my Roux-en-Y gastric surgery on Aug. 2, 2002 at Celebration Hospitalin Celebration, FL. I was in the hospital for a week afterward and I lost 30 pounds in that first week. I have been free of heartburn and somehow my blood glucose has been “normalized” nearly-instantly since that day in 2002. I saw Dr Marema about a year ago. I wanted to make inroads with this practice because I had recently moved here. He did a barium swallow and informed me I needed a revision surgery. So the next time I was up in Boston I went to my surgeon who did the lapband surgery originally and got a second opinion. He administered a barium swallow and informed me that everything was just fine. No need for any revision surgery. Today I called Matema’s Office to ask for help. I was in distress something had been stuck in the banded area and I needed the fluid removed from it. I had been vomiting for 3 days and hadn’t had any water in 48 hrs. Simple procedure!! But his nurse Tammy informed me that his notes said I had no fluid in it and I told her I did have fluid. She said well notes say you were supposed to have a revision and I explained that the band was fine and didn’t need one. She said we can’t help you so go find yourself a doctor that will agree with you. So I said “your telling me your not going to help me?” and she said, “ yes, that’s correct!”So I callled my dr up in Boston and he said that’s ridiculous!! Told me just head for the ER and give me this guy’s info. They haven’t heard the end of this yet.Folks in my opinion STAY CLEAR OF THIS PRACTICE!!!
