Dr Fernandez was a hospitalist who took care of my elderly father at Aventura Hospital. I am in the medical field and obviously have tremendous respect to physicians. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience we as a family ever had. The doctor NEVER returned the calls, misinformed us re the patient condition , we learned that dad had endocarditis on day 6 of the admission. These are just some examples of profound disrespect and lack of basic professionalism. I want to be proud and confident of medical profession, unfortunately, this was profoundly disturbing experience.

An excellent Dr, human, he takes time to call families of patients to explain how they feel when they are in hospital, he took care of my mother when she was in hospital and call me every day to explain me how she was. Eventhougth my mother passed away, I thanks him for his excellent care that he had with her.
