Frank D Cirisano's Online Review Report Card

Dr Cirisano is an excellent doctor. He takes his time with his patients and explains all the lab work and tests that were done. He also is not an alarmist and wants me to be monitored. I feel much calmer, and not as worried as I was.

I found Dr. Cirisano to be most helpful and caring. He was very patient and he took his time explaining all of the different tests that I had. I feel much more confident in going forward and I’m not as worried as I was.

I went to Dr. Cirisano for a cyst on my right ovary that changed in structure and my CA125 blood test for cancer was elevated. His exam/drawing and explanation of how to proceed was thorough and I knew by his compassion that my husband and I were in the “right hands.” I had my surgery on a Friday and we were Blessed, the growth was benign. I needed to place a call to his office the Sunday after; I received a callback from Dr. Cirisano shortly later advising me what to do and that everything was good. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Cirisano.

My visit was great and overall Dr.Frank Cirisano explained every detail to me. The worker are nice and pleasant and kind.

Dr. Cirisano recently performed surgery on me for what proved to be cancerous tumors. During this time of Covid-19 issues, with additional stress on both patients and physicians, my husband and I found him to be the most caring, compassionate of physicians. He even took the time to explain, with pictures he drew, what to expect. While his excellent professional skills are already well documented elsewhere, I thought it most important to advise that I would highly recommend Dr. Cirisano. Also, every member of his office staff has been very supportive and always accommodating.

UPON MEETING DR. CIRISANO, I KNEW DURING AND AFTER OUR INITIAL CONSULT THAT HE WAS THE DOCTOR TO PERFORM MY SURGERY FOR ENDOMETIRAL CANCER. HIS STAFF WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPASSIONATE. DR. CIRISANO GAVE ME SUCH A THOROUGH EXPLANATION OF HOW THE SURGERY WOULD BE DONE AND WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE FOLLOWING WEEKS IN MY RECOVERY. NOT ONLY DID HE SAVE MY LIFE, BUT HE GAVE ME HOPE THAT I MIGHT NOT EVER HAVE TO HEAR THE WORD"CANCER" IN MY FUTURE. I CANNOT SPEAK FOR OTHERS WHO COMMENT ON DR. CIRISANO'S STAFF OR THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BUT TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS, I AM A REGISTERED NURSE AND KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD DOCTORS AND GREAT ONES. HE IS A RARE GEM TO BALANCE THE SCIENTIFIC AND EMOTIONAL ASPECTS OF CANCER. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL TO DR. CIRISANO AND HIS STAFF.

I am forever thankful for Dr. Frank Cisneros! After almost six months of excruciating menstrual pain, pelvic ultrasounds, 2 visits to my OBGYN and 2 ER visits I found Dr. Cisneros based on an internet search and a review testimonial similar to my story. He diagnosed me with probable endometriosis which turned out to be 100% the case. I have NOT experienced pain since having surgery in his very capable hands. I am now referring my daughter for evaluation of similar symptoms. Although I was a patient almost 6 years ago, my experience with this office (both Delray and Aventura) was awesome!

While Dr. Cirisano may be a talented surgeon, beware of his office staff. We discovered my mother had ovarian cancer while she was here (Miami) visiting me from the Pacific Northwest. It was determined she needed to have surgery immediately and was scheduled for a Monday morning surgery with Dr. Cirisano. The Friday before... at 7:30 PM (!), his office manager, Anka, calls and says "We don't recognize Kaiser Permanente and don't know who they are." Um...they're just the 600 pound insurance gorilla that have established operations on the west coast and Northeast. Her response, "We don't know who they are or their billing practices; therefore, you will need to pay me for the surgery now, or it won't be done Monday morning," Me: "Ummm... isn't that extortion?" Anka: "We don't recognize Kaiser and have never worked with an insurance company not based here, so you will have to pay for the surgery, or else find a new surgeon." Me: OK, here is my credit card. Anka: "How do I know it will go through?" Me: Ummm... you swipe it, and if it is accepted it goes through." Anka: "How do I know you have enough money in your bank account." Me: "I really cannot believe I'm having this conversation on the cusp of a lifesaving surgery for my mother, but I don't think you have to worry about my bank account.... the credit card company will worry about that." Anka: "We still need to know you have enough funds." Me: "You swipe the card. Really. Do you want me to send you a screen shot of the funds in my bank account?" Anka: "How do I know it's really your bank account." I kid you not. THIS was the conversation. It has been told at numerous cocktail parties to stunned faces, and will be in the book I'm writing, it's that absurd. So simply: CAVEAT EMPTOR and ILLEGITIMI NON CARBORUNDUM, especially when dealing with Anka. This was over a year ago, but still steams me for its complete and total absurdity. Recommendation for Dr. Cirisano: Get a new office manager/accountant, if you haven't already.

Dr. Cirisano was my Surgeon when I was diagnosed with a late stage cancer in 2009. My prognosis was poor and my life expectancy less than 5 years. I just celebrated my 10th anniversary cancer free and I honestly can’t count how many times I’ve been asked by a Dr. who did my surgery only to get the reply “That’s why you’re still alive.” I read another review regarding his staff and frankly I find it hard to believe. I’ve visited his office twice a year for 10 years and have dealt with every member of his staff without issue.
