List of Jay Kim's Reviews
This is the most disorganized office ever - from scheduling visits we did not schedule and then billing us for it to losing records. It was very difficult to even leave this office as they took weeks to release our medical records.
My appointment is at 2pm I arrived at 1.30pm Signed up for the for the first time, and I asked the question if I need to fill up my information. She closed the windows on me and talking with her friends, how rude of me to ask questions before they called me. Lol and yeah I understand a little Spanish. So lol
This doctor is rude, dismissive, and incompetent. My primary advised I go see him due to some alarming test results and symtoms. Dr. Kim did not even examine me, was extremely condesceding and dismissed me, telling me there is nothing to be alarmed of. 6 months later I discover that I have kidney cancer. Poor excuse for a doctor.
Mi experiencia ha sido excelente ,tanto con el Dr ,como las muchachas del staff,me atendieron muy bien y profesional ,salí muy contenta de la consulta ,por su profesionalismo
Dr. Kim and his staff were professional and went out of their way to help out even when the patient lacked insurance.
Horrible experience. I meant Dr Kim and he seemed like a good doctor and a good person. He prescribed some medication for me and I had a bad reaction to it. It was the weekend so I called his office and they said go to the hospital or if it's not an emergency we will call you back promptly. It was him leaving the recording . His voice. This was at 3 in the morning and as my father was a doctor I didn't want to wake him up and I figured I'd wait. I waited till 8:00 and had not received the call. Try it again and again at 9:00 never received a call back. 10:00 called back and said I think we need to discuss the definition of the word prompt. I called his office on Monday and they made an appointment for me a week later. I never got a call back. I called to confirm the appointment at his Adventure office and they said I didn't have one. I called the Hollywood office and it it still appeared on the records at the Hollywood office. Then called and said and sent a letter saying that they sent me a letter saying they did not want me as a patient anymore. If I wasn't so sick I would have brought him up for patient abandonment the board. That kind of treatment is heartless. If you're not going to call back don't have a hurting patient waiting for a phone call that's never going to come because it's just cruel.
My wife was referred to him by our family doctor as she is having kidney issues. First of all, the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE. She went him the first time with a blood test and CT scan. He examined and referred to get another CT scan. Then he cancelled the scan and said to come to visit again (which we were charged a co-pay and his office billed our insurance). One the second visit, he spoke to her for 5 minutes and said to get an MRI. I called the next day to question why we needed to see him this time, they would not tell me why. They are obviously using her 5 minute visit to bill the insurance. FYI, my wife waited an hour and a half to see him for 5 minutes. If you need to see a urologist, I would highly recommend to find someone else.
I actually liked the office and the staff. But once I was called into the room I was greeted by 21 year old medical assistant that kept calling me my love about 10 times in 5 minutes and was very lound! Then the Dr came. And according to my my age, my way or life and the fact that I don’t smoke and don’t drink there is nothing really wrong and I could try couple or mediation and see if they work. No exam (I don’t need it apparently), he barely looked at me and sent me off after 5 min conversation! Then told me to take “this”despite me telling him that i don’t take medication for something I don’t know the prognoses to and said see you in a month. And he was gone! I wouldn’t go back even if I was in a really bad shape! My copay is $80 dollars and I was where I begin with! No answers and a lot of pain
Very unfriendly environment. Doctor kind of insulted me during consultation. Office manager very rude to me and just didn’t care. Nor explain the reason why I needed a return visit.
Dr. Kim is nice but unfortunately I can't say the same for some of the girls in his office. 1. Helen (Hollywood office)sent my prescription to the wrong insurance. 2. Helen then claimed she doesn't handle the prescriptions and promised that Georgina or Tanya (Aventura office) would call me but I never received a call from either one. I had to keep calling to finally get his prescription sent correctly to the insurance. When the insurance requested a pre-authorization Helen refused. 3. My insurance said Dr. Kim overcharged me. Talked to Helen and she said to call Caroline (Miami Shores office). I have called her 4 times and it has been almost 2 months since they were paid from the insurance and even though they admit they overcharged me they will not refund me the over payment. 4. I called Helen over a week ago to leave a message for Dr. Kim to call me but haven't heard from him. I guess he doesn't care either. I will let my insurance know that they will not refund me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
