Dr. Cohen is one of the old-school physicians who takes his time with patients, and treats them as he'd like to be treated. He has staff to do necessary tests, and everyone there is professional and pleasant! He's highly recommended by many other physicians, and is a pleasure to be around.

The doctor is certainly good, but you will wait half your life in line to see him. The waiting time is at least 1.5 hours.

I was extremely impressed by Dr. Leonard Cohen and his wonderful staff at First Choice Neurology in Aventura. I found everyone to be helpful, efficient and friendly. Dr. Cohen immediately put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. This great service is what is lacking in most practices today.

From the moment you meet Dr. Cohen, you know you have met somebody that can truly understand where you have been and what you can do! He is the best in the business, a doctor that will tell you truth, and work with you to realize it! He takes care of my family and he knows each of us better than we know ourselves. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and the entire team at First Choice Neurology.

He never got up from his chair to do any neurological checks. I saw other MD’s checking other patients eyes-vision, hearing, walking or at least checking the patients. I. received no such care. He did nothing but advised me to be greatfull and stop complaining about my condition, nothing can be done. In other words, he did want to hear about my symptoms or why I was there. Also, he is unable or willing to help. He wanted to repeat expense tests and order other expensive tests without an evaluation. I walked out of the office feeling nothing was done, more questions, no answers; and wasted $300 in these Covid times. Do not waste your time or money. He is not there to help. Look for someone else. I feel he was there to be paid not to help.. sad.

Dr. Cohen‘s passion for helping others is readily apparent and his honest and straightforward approach to helping people dealing with serious illness and injury. He is compassionate and understanding something we can only wish for in a medical provider. Despite the crazy insurance system he always finds a way to put his patients first.
