She was not interested in helping with my pain. She only wanted to jack up my spine and cause me nerve damage. she basically just told me to 'suck it up". I saw her years ago. Complete waste of my time.

These offices of Dr. Maria De La Pena and associates - all of the local offices of Spine and Wellness of America located in both Broward and Dade, and every single one of the “medical professionals” and staff members who work there - are the most inept of any pain management professionals and practices I have ever been unfortunate enough to experience. I would not recommend that anyone join this practice at any of it’s locations. I was with the practice for about eleven months, and they failed me 7/11 months with medication refills and/or timely appointments. Their phone system is a joke and a mess. They do not answer and they never call back. I, and many other of their patients, have unfortunately ended up in the ER or admitted into the hospital due to their neglecting our phone calls and appointment and refill requests. & if you are a woman with chronic pain and also have a women’s medical condition or reproductive disorder, do not go here. Her office will not believe you nor care.

She doesn't talk to the patient and explain what is going on or what to expect next. She is like a storm, she comes to the room and leaves in a hurry.. She won't even give a chance to the patient, to ask any questions. I was in her care for a while now. It is same on all my visits .

This was my first time visiting with Dr. De La Pena. I was very impressed with the office staff, they made us welcome and comfortable. Dr. De La Pena was wonderful, very reassuring, understood exactly what I was feeling, gave me plenty of time and administered the steroid shots without any pain and discomfort. I would highly recommend Dr. De La Pena as that was how I got to the doctor, from a very satisfied patient.

*** HELP *** Just called phone number listed to see if they are taking new patients and recording say's disconnected. (321) 320-9605. Is there a different phone number???

Dr DeLa Pena is a great doctor with patience and superb knowledge with spinal cord injury and pain management. I moved from NYC and am blessed to have found such an incredible doctor. I don’t know what I would do without her
