I came to his office recently to better understand my options for dealing with my hyperthyroidism. My family came with me for support and he just left the room without notice. When he came back he said that he would only speak to my family member and not me and left the room again. I was confused and called another family member. He spoke to that family member but left the room before I could ask further questions about possible surgery. He never came back this time. I called his office this morning to confirm my appointment and better understand my next steps and his staff yelled at me and told me to ask the family members that came to support me. I’m already suffering with hyperthyroidism, I don’t need to be yelled at when I called to better understand my treatment. They made a medically tough experience even more challenging. I do not recommend this place at all. The doctor and staff do not care about the patients. If you’re Black (Haitian, Jamaican, or African American), please share your experience about this doctor in the reviews because I would like to know if this is a trend or are they just nasty to me.

The staff was super helpful. They went above and beyond to assist me. Doctor Gulec is a great physician and surgeon. Made my thyroid surgery feel like a breeze. Definitely recommend.

There are not enough stars to rate my high approval of Dr. Gulec and his staff. I have always been received with smiles and pleasant greetings from the office staff/nurses. Dr. Gulec has a medical personality that I appreciate. He is professional in his friendliness, he clearly explains the procedure being done, allows you to ask questions and answers them in a direct manner which helps lessen some anxiety. My experience with Dr. Gulec and staff, pre and post surgery, can be stated this way: low anxiety, comforting atmosphere, high confidence in the surgeon.

I honor his profound analytical abilities, his assessment of the severity of my medical situation and the precision and immediacy with which he assembled a team to ensure the highest level of success in the operating room. To the chief of anesthesiology, Dr. Cooper and the heart surgeon, Dr. David and the entire entourage who were a part of the surgery, thank you for agreeing to team up with Dr.Gulec to make me whole again.I have felt little to no pain since the surgery. Everyone was exceptionally professional and kind to me. This is the best surgery experience I have ever had and I have had a few. Every employee of HCA FLORIDA AVENTURA who interacted with me in room 2023 January 3-4, 2023, and answered my every call immediately, I have only the highest praise for each of you: Nurses- Shinitra & Oksana and your teams, thank you. The entire operation was a Bethlehem Steel classic on time and precision. Every person in attendance was a time and precision expert.
