Stephen Tannenbaum's Online Review Report Card

I heard the doctor is great but never found out. Waited 3 months to get in to see him. Had the appointment at 11am today. At 2pm I was still waiting. Asked front desk to let me know what was going on. They said they were waiting for exam rooms to open up. Shortly thereafter, I asked to use the bathroom inside the doctors office. Walking to the bathroom I noticed every door was open (10) with an empty exam room…so that was obviously not the real reason. Next, I asked to see the business manager (on two different occasions) and I was told she was busy, but that she would come out to see me. 20 minutes later. Never happened. After a total of 2 hours waiting in the doctors reception area, I finally left. What a waste of a day! Front office sat there and didn’t come out the entire 2 hours to even give any type of estimate on time to see the doctor during the entire time I was waiting. Incredibly disappointing. The doctor should be embarrassed if this is how his admin handles new patients. Never to return.

Dr. Tennenbaum is such a kind and knowledgeable doctor. He has helped me immensely and goes above and beyond what a typical doctor does. Very much recommend him! Office staff is great too.

This physician is amazing! My 95 year old dad has been seen by him at each of the clinic locations. He has gone out of his way to fit him in. He is skilled and compassionate. My dad was treated by Dr T with dignity and respect, as it should be afforded to an elderly man. Not once did we feel slighted or unimportant, our questions were answered thoroughly and with kindness! No rushing or feeling we are in the way. Neither I nor dad have ever been associated with a physician or staff that is so attentive and concerned about the patient's care as Dr T! I'm impressed! Customer service can make or break a business. This physician and his staff gets 5 stars in my book. Everyone is well informed, kind and has a helpful attitude. There's no "passing the buck". You are to be commended for all that you do to enhance the quality of life for seniors!

If you are looking for a urologist practice that cares about its patients, you haven’t found one. I made an appt. with this practice weeks in advance and arrived for my appt. only to find the doors locked and no one there to help. I called the receptionist of the business who claimed she had contacted me to tell me that the office was undergoing renovations and she had cancelled my appt. In reality, the only contact (less than a week before said appt.) was three useless voicemails, all within a short timespan while I was at work: an automated hold message, silence, and a muffled conversation. Later that same day, I confirmed my appt. via an automated call. All the receptionist said about this was that the confirmation message was “the system’s fault” and the office didn’t know the renovations would take long. I am so disappointed with how this was addressed. Still, I am thankful to avoid bringing serious medical issues to a practice so flippant with its patients’ time and health.

My fiance came in the office for a Urocuff test and had issues emptying his bladder after the test, needless to say an entire procedure had to be done to help him urinate which included catheterization (multiple attempts). Dr. Tannenbaum and his Medical Assistant Marie St. James (I think this was her last name) are exceptional and that is an understatement. My fiance had blood and urine all over the place and this young lady never made him feel uncomfortable or like he was a burden. I have never seen such compassion from an employee ever. Had laser lipo. Almost Immediately dropped 25lbs. it’s been at least 2 years and that 25lbs of extra tummy bulge is still gone. It was a little more invasive than I had expected, but so worth it.

My dad had an open prostatectomy last week Wednesday and each day my dad was in the hospital the story was that Dr. Tannenbaum was going to see my dad. That never ever happened. Everyday was another one of his partners. Considering it’s Aventura hospital we expected so much more from him as a doctor. But in 2018 it’s all about billing insurance and getting paid for nothing. We’re looking for another urologist to follow my dad post surgery.

This doctor is very knowledgable and great bed side manner. I was able to get in quickly to see him.
