Gregory Smith's Online Review Report Card

He likes to talk about himself. He is very pretentious and has a very odd sense of humor in other words he lacks qualities I would expect from a good doctor.

0 stars. Came in after hurting my wrist snow boarding. I was in pain. "Doctor" gaslight me into thinking it was nothing and didn't do X-rays... my wrist was fractured and he let it go untreated, which caused MY TENDON to rupture. I had surgery, and physical therapy for 6 weeks due to his negligence.

I was a new patient. I take no medications and have no health issues to my knowledge. I scheduled my first meeting for my annual physical. While there I asked to also have a Bone Density scan. I was told they would have to get approval from my insurance and would let me know when if was approved. I was given a paper to get blood work done. I made an appointment with the lab. When I got to the lab they asked if I had been fasting. I said No, I didn't know I was supposed to. She pointed to a short line on the page and said the Dr. had requested it. Since no one had told me this I had to make another appointment. A week later I called the Drs. Office to ask if they had gotten approval for the Bone Density or the results of the blood work. I was told the Bone density had been approved, but nothing else was said. I had to ask her to send me the approval and ask where should I call to make an appointment. When I asked about the blood work I was put me on hold, then told; "The Dr. says all the tests are good and you're fine." Again, I had to asked to be sent a copy of the lab results. When I got the report it showed 4 different area where in HIGH flags.Overall Cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (the bad one), Glucose and Hemoglobin. I found this very disturbing. If I hadn't asked for the results to be sent to me I would never have know this! I don't think I should have been told "You're fine" when there are 4 area that are HIGH Flagged. I find it very unprofessional that the Dr. didn't bother to speak to me. I wonder if he even read the report. I won't be retuning. I'll find another Dr. to explain the the results and give me advice.

Dr. Gregory Smith was the only doctor I could find that would take new patients when I moved to Carlsbad from La! I greatly appreciated that! He has been great so far! Also his front staff and nurses are personable and very caring and on point! His staff are always on top of things and always do follow up calls! Soraya and Theresa are the Best! Thank you Dr. Gregory Smith and his staff! P.S. I remember I was out of state in Missouri and I ran out of one of medications and he helped me to refill it promptly and that was wonderful for me, because it was very easy to communicate with him and was very thankful, because he gave me his personal phone number so I could easily communicate with him or his day off and refill my medication ASAP! Thanks Dr. Smith!

Dr. Smith is my father's physician. Dr. Smith is very thorough and he took the time to explain things. Nearly an hour. He was knowledgeable and concerned for my father's wellbeing. Thank you Dr. Smith.

This was my first visit. He was through, understood the issue, and didn't try to load me up on drugs. Staff was cheerful and helpful. I am exceptional knowledgeable about health issues and have a extensive evidence based medical website--which I didn't mention to him. From our conversation I could see that he was restricted by treatment guidelines (a way that pharma through their key opinion leaders influences the practice of medicine) so he cover the relevant points made in the guidelines, and then gave me the prescriptions I needed and had been getting for 14 years rather than the one the guidelines directs physicians to prescribe.

My check up with this "doctor" was a waste of time and money. He was very dismissive when I told him everything I was feeling. The only thing he did was refer me to every person he knew. After telling him my most worry some concerns he had to step out to research the symptoms online as if he wasn't experienced enough. Don't waste your time here.
